The service went very well. The owners were nice and knowledgeable. The workmanship was excellent and were able to perfectly match the unfinished bedroom to the rest of the house. 

Beth was great, she worked around another contractors schedule and was very flexible.  The floors turned out beautifully. 
The only thing that I was slightly disappointed with was that they did not tape off the area that they were working in so dust got all over the house.  She did tell me in the initial bid that the job would be dusty due to the nature of it - lots of hand held sanders where the containment equipment wouldn't work correctly, and they did clean up the dust in the foyer, but I had dust everywhere. Overall, however, I would hire again.

They sanded our old parquet floors in the foyer and hallway. After sanding they applied several coats on finish with a light stain. The floors looked great after their work.

The process went well.  They had the carpeting removed and floors sanded on the first day.  The next 2 days were spent installing molding and and laying on the poly.  The put 2 coats of poly on the floors which are beautiful.

It went very well. Overall it was very good and I didn't have any complaints. The price was good and I felt like they knew what they were talking about.

Everything went very well. The finished  flooring is just beautiful and we are very happy with the results. We had a hole from a heating register that was moved over, and what looked like old water damage in one spot. No one would ever know either  damage had been there. Beth and Chuck may have to come back to repair and or refinish a small landing after we have a threshold removed. They did not hesitate to agree to return for such a small job. Beth and Chuck are a husband and wife team that works together very well. Beth is as good at repair and refinishing as any man. It was a pleasure to discuss this job with her since woman to woman we connected on all the details. They are down to earth, honest, fair  people that we would hire again in a minute. If you want to hear some "out of the funnies" stories, just ask Beth about her cows and pigs and piglets!

The floor looks very nice.  We didn't use them right away.  We had some issues, so we didn't get around to doing the floor.  The finished work looked good.  The workers were professional.

We bought our house online, (we are new to the area) and came to see it before closing.  All in all, the improvements required on this house are cosmetic, but the removal of the 40-year-old shag carpet throughout the entire house was the one thing I insisted on before moving in.  PHF came to the house, estimated the cost, and agreed to refinish existing finished flooring and initially finish 80-year-old unfinished flooring.  Beth consulted with me via email daily, and had the work completed all before we moved in.  Their work completely transformed the appearance of the interior of our home.  We are so proud of our floors that it makes planning for the next improvements that much more exciting.  They have come back for followup estimates on some remaining floors.  We definitely would use them again in the future and have been recommending them to everyone we know needing hardwood floor work.  And now we're recommending them to you!

We have a hardwood floor in a bedroom that was damaged by a leaky roof.  Some of the boards needed to be re-nailed.  The entire floor was sanded, stained and two coats of satin finish were applied. They did an excellent job.
