"I mailed her a refund of $82 four days ago. Yesterday my bank said that her check for $112 Bounced... eight days ago. There was a $ 10 bank fee for that as well. I now have to contact this woman to collect the $204 it cost Me to cut her lawn."
2) Bricks used to create edge around flower beds were initially put in upside down. I had to instruct him how they should be placed.
3) I volunteered to make 2 runs to Lowe's to pick up additional bricks when number of bricks required for job was underestimated.
4) After agreeing to the initial estimate, he upped the price by $100. I probably should have cancelled the job at that point in retrospect. I wonder if this is a normal tactic?
"This was my most unpleasant experience with any customer since I've been in business. His wife came outside to look at the work, 2 bricks out of 200 (approximately) were slightly out of place, and she completely flipped out about it. I'm talking a total hysterics freak out, insulting and degrading me.1 minute later i fixed them, Chris knocked on the door. She opened the door and threw the phone at me,& said talk to her husband. Then she threatened me! All work was done as we agreed, including spraying the grass. I never changed my price. cost was added because additional work was added. they expected me to haul away and dispose of 2 200 lb. railroad ties for nothing. I was flustered though , and overlooked piling on the mulch in one spot. Which was where the grass came back. His wife wanted the bricks the way I had had them, the husband said they were " upside down". We completed the job , and I was never having anything to do with them again. They didn't call 4 times, it was over 25 calls...and often very late at night. I would have happily went back and made it right at no charge if it wasn't for his wife's absurd behavior. Please read any of my other reviews. Thank you"
Additionally, I appreciate Dave's conscientiousness. He took extra care as to avoid creating unsightly ruts with his heavy, wheeled equipment in the still soggy grass and soil. And, it's clear from our discussions, Dave gives careful consideration as to use of the proper equipment based upon specific task and/or terrain requirements.
I feel confident they will do a good job caring for my yard; to the degree that I've hired this company to do my regular yard work this year. I'm so glad I discovered this contractor on Angies List.
Job well done, Knight Landscaping! Keep up the good work.
We're so impressed with their work and professionalism that we've hired them to do bi-weekly maintenance for the rest of the year. Highly recommend!
He comes every week, on the day we prefer. He is quick & thorough. My husband had originally wanted to use a landscaper for a few months until he could get back out and do the lawn himself. But, since David has been coming & doing such a good job, my husband is content to find other projects! And, Knights landscaping has officially gotten our long-term business.
