The city hired this company to redo the sidewalks in our neighborhood.
They had to break up the sidewalk right in front of our driveway.  They
never gave us notice when they started digging up our sidewalk
potentially leaving our cars stuck in the garage.  Luckily I suspected
we were next in line and moved my car last night.  I also called Dan the
owner 3 weeks ago for an estimate to redo parts of our driveway at the
same time as the sidewalk, and he never gave me an estimate. Now I am glad I didn't hire him.

We got an estimate from them and we liked it. We seemed to hit it off with them pretty well. They did a really good job and we were pleased with it. I didn't have any issue with the workers because the work was done in the exact way we wanted. There is something minor I had an issue with though, they gave us an initial estimate but then the price of gas short up and they ended up charging us a little more. We were perturbed by that because it didn't seem fair but we didn't argue about it because it wasn't a really crazy amount added on.

I WOULD NOT HIRE THEM.:    I WAS TOLD CALL THE OWNER DAN;.... I DID THAT CALL PROMPTLY AFTER SHOWING UP PERSONALLY @ A JOB SITE AND I ALREADY SHOWING SOME DEDICATED COMMITMENT TO THE PROCESS.
THEY HAVE NO QUALITY SYSTEM IN PLACE AS:
1)  THE OWNER: DAN GERTZ NEVER CALLED ME BACK (EVEN AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS)
AND
2)  THE EMPLOYEE APPARENTLY DIDN'T GET THRU TO THEM ALSO OR THEY DIDN'T CARE FROM THE MGMT. TEAM.
THE CONCRETE DRIVEWAY THEY DID FOR THE OTHER NEIGHBOR IS A DIFFERENT COLOR AND LOOKS WEIRD.
ANY WAY ONE LOOKS AT IT THAT IS NOT PROFESSIONAL AND I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM TO DO ANY WORK FOR ME.__THE SHERIFF HAS ALREADY BEEN OUT THERE EARLIER FOR ANOTHER CONCRETE JOB  I HEAR AND SEE PERSONALLY.

Daniel’s men are very courteous, very polite as is he.  He is very punctual; he is out here early in the morning.  He is very concerned about how good their work is.

We started out replacing a part of the driveway, but ended up replacing all of it. We did the work in December and I questioned him about doing it in cold weather, but he assured me it was fine. He tarped the work and ended up leaving the tarps until April. My neighbor complained about them, so I had to call him. He told me he had forgot about them. Recently I have noticed there is now pitting in the concrete. I have not called him back yet, but I would definitely not use him again.

WE WERE PLEASED WITH THE HONEST ESTIMATE. MR. GERTZ RECOMMENDED REPAIRING RATHER THAN REPLACING A RETAINING WALL. WE HAD ASSUMED IT HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE WORK WAS DONE, AND WE ARE PLEASED WITH IT.
