Hartland HVAC Services Inc.

I was a customer of Hartland & Wilken for many years. They serviced multiple homes of mine and rentals. Their techs and receptionists were always friendly and did a great job when working on my house. But when it came time to buy new AC units, their sales team was unresponsive. I tried for a total of 4 months to purchase new units for my property. Each time a tech came out, I told them, please add it to the notes to have someone contact me. After 2 months, I called in and asked what was going on. I was trying to get them in before the end of 2021 as I knew prices would be going up. I finally got ahold of Shane and he apologized as he said I slipped through the cracks. I can understand that. Shane came out and walked through my house and let me know I would have an estimate within a week or 2. I said, just keep me updated if needs to be longer. Since was in middle of winter, it wasn't like I needed them right away. 2 weeks went by. I called and asked for Shane again. He was busy but said would call. me back. 2 more weeks went by and was told he was in a meeting. I explained it was urgent as I never receive a call back. I was told by the receptionist that he would email me after his meeting. After 2 more weeks, still nothing. I then tried emailing Theresa with a last hail mary as I liked their techs and service and they were local. Pretty much explained, not sure what I did to upset them or if I was on some list but if someone could reply to me. No response. I referred countless friends and family to them and this is how it ended. I would have given just 1 star but their techs and receptionist are very friendly. But their sales team brought the rest down. I can't believe I had to beg to give them money and they still didn't return my messages.

Wonderfully. They gave us a quote and installed our new furnace in one week! They were very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Very courteous and cleaned up and hauled old stuff away. I would definitely recommend them and have already scheduled more work for them.

Another company came to check our whole house AC and clean my long drier ducts in 2014.  They did some "maintenance" on my AC, and I signed a service contract with them.  When this other company returned in summer of 2015, they discovered "problems" and gave an estimate of almost $2,000 to fix or around $8,000 to replace our AC.  Needless to say, I thought it was strange that they had worked on it the previous summer and now there was a problem..  Called Harland to get a second opinion.  When the service man checked (sorry...don't remember his name but he was very professional) he discovered NO PROBLEMS with our AC.  He could have just agreed and made Hartland $.  HOWEVER, I will now call Harland whenever I need to and highly recommend them because he was HONEST!  It is not often you can trust a company, but I certainly will recommend and trust Hartland!

Sean Neer came out and gave us a quote for a furnace , he sold us on the Armstrong Furnace with both primary and secondary  heat exchangers made of stainless steel and the warranty. Sean has a nice personality and was easy to work with , the installers were conscientious  and did a nice job. We went through the winter with no problems with the furnace ,much more efficient then our old furnace. 

Well, The office staff messed up the reasoning behind my scheduled appointment because they never informed the 1st and 2nd technician that came out to repair our system. When I first called the office to schedule the technician to repair our system on monday, he said the office had us down for a on-call appointment and didnt know it needed repair and couldnt repair it till may 20th. When the technican came out today, he didnt know about the first tech that came out.  Then being his 3rd day on the job didnt  have all the supplies for his job. So, the tech had to run up the road to get supplies. He did a wonderful and excellent job, but when he left he left me with no bill and I had to figure an approximate rate and labor.. Overall the Techs did a great job, But the office staff needs to be more informative to the techs on what the calls are for..

They were extremely professional and yet they felt like family helping out. GREATEST PEOPLE!

Heartland came highly recommended from friends and co-workers so I called and left a message with their after hours support line on a Saturday to see about getting a quote. Sean contacted me the following Monday via email as I had requested as my job requires me to be on the phone a lot and I didnt want to miss the call. I set up a time for him to come by and take a look. He was punctual, and as soon as he saw what we had going on he had ideas on a furnace/AC solution.

The furnace is in an extended crawl space about 4 ft from floor to ceiling and only accessible from the outside of the house through a storm cellar door. Sean suggested they hang the furnace from the joists in the basement, and through looking at how our ductwork was laid out where the problem areas heating and cooling wise, were in the house. Also said the job would take 2 days in large part because of the removal of the 50 year old monster of a furnace that needed to be removed first.

I was not home when they removed it and I am not real certain how they were able to get it out of there, but when I got home from work the first day it was out and the new furnace was hung already! The installers were cleaning up for the day when I got home, but dropped everything when I asked them how it was going, they took me into the basement and explained everything they did, and what the plan was for the next day. The job was completed the next day as promised, everything was cleaned up, as if they were never there. The installers were punctual, professional, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves.

I highly recommend Hartland if you have heating and AC needs!

Hartland Mechanical was prompt to come out and provide us with an estimate when our furnace was going out. Sean, the owner discussed with us our options on our new furnace. He sent the proposal via email for quicker review which was great. When they installed the new furnace and AC unit they were prompt, professional, and very clean. I came home from work and witnessed one employee wiping down my basement stairs at the end of the day and he had shoe covers on. I liked the fact that if I had any questions at all I could call the owner and he was available to answer my questions or he would promptly return my call. Overall the furnace is running great and very quiet. This company was great to work with when we were in a pinch for a new furnace during this past bitter winter.

They came promptly and unclogged the drain line from the A/C unit that was causing the water on the basement floor. They fixed the problem fast and replaced our filter all at a very reasonable price. Would use them again.

Service guy arrived about 1/2 hour after I called. He got right to work and had a good idea about what the problem was. He replaced a part that had been burnt and described how the event happened. He thoroughly checked the system and didn't leave until he was completely satisfied with the repair.

They were excellent. First showed up exactly on time actually a few minutes early which I was really impressed. They were very thorough and made sure the job was done in a timely manner. The said it would take approximately 6 hrs and it took exactly that. They cleaned up after themselves and everything was installed very clean and professionally. I was very impressed with their work and how they kept me informed of everything they did!! They are Grade A business!!! The central air works great!

They are just very knowledgeable and very thorough.

Sean(owner) arrived within 20 minutes of my phone call and my tank was replaced the same day. installers were very efficient and even arrived a half hour before they were scheduled!! prices are extremely fair.
