Driveway looked great at first, but 6 months later the driveway began spalling.  Mr Heiss came out once to see it and said he would return but did not.   Future calls to him reached his answering machine and were not returned.  We will be forced to bring in another contractor to seal and/or repair the surface.  Mr. Heiss did not stand by his work, and I cannot recommend his company.   

The patio looks great. Karl answered all of my questions. He was able to help remove an old antenna and leveled the ground for better drainage.

They were professional, polite, and on time! They were really good! It looks great!

Karl was quick and on time when we called for an estimate.  Started the job on the day agreed, was professional and answered all questions we had while he was working.  While removing the patio, an improperly run electrical line was pulled up causing us to lose electricity in the house and garage.  Within hours he had an electrician here to get the problem fixed and never passed on the cost to us.  At the end of the work day he discussed with us the next steps and the time frame.  We are very happy with the end results.  Karl and his crew were professional, polite and patient.  I would recommend this company 100%.

UPDATE:

About 6 months after installation the patio started spalling. Karl came out and spoke with my wife and stated, " You are my sixth customer this year with this problem, I'm working with Ohio Concrete to resolve the issue and will get back to you." That was over a year ago and after multiple attempts to reach him were unsuccessful, we have pretty much given up. I would not ever use nor would I recommend him!!!

Call them on on Monday and they had it do that Friday very professional I would use them again in a heartbeat

I was confortable with Heiss construction from the very beginning. The owner is the one that provided the estimate and made it clear he and his employees would perform the work without the use of subs. The estimate was detailed as to what would be done, what materials would be used. When looking over the job, we discussed some specific items that were included in the estimate and some detail items that were not. All were done. Counter to some other parties whose estimates were solicited, Heiss emphasied the importance of a good base for the driveway. Others I think feel you don't see it in the final product so why put too much effort or money in the base, the lack of which won't show up until long after any warranty has expired.
The crew started the job on the date agreed to and completed on the date estimated. They conducted themselves in a professional, workman like manner. The first day the old driveway, sidewalk and steps were removed and hauled away without excessive damage to the surrounding yard. The new sidewalk was laid out as we had discussed. That evening I could see that the way I had envisioned the new walk (it was a different layout from the previous) needed a small modification. I discussed this with Mr Heiss on the phone and he was very accomodating. The following day the sidewalk and steps were poured, exactly as we had discussed. Additionally the driveway was prepped and formed up, base was laid out and prepared. The following day the driveway was poured.
The finish work was excellent and pleasing to the eye.
Several days later, and after a holiday weekend, Mr Heiss brought top soil and filled in where the forms had been and finished cleaning up the little bits left over from the pour. This was all as had been discussed.
Mr Heiss and his crew did a wonderful job and I would most definately use his services again.

I was very pleased with them. I told the guy I would call Angie's List and put in a good word. They were great. They got in done in two days. I would give him an A. He oversaw the entire job.
