Bernie is an excellent HVAC repairman. Honest as the day is long. He was the 4th repairman I had out for my leaking furnace. He knew what the problem was immediately whereas the others were clueless. He even investigated to see if one of the major parts were still under warranty. It was and he obtained it from Amana. I essentially have a new furnace!

Bernie came out and assessed our problem . unfortunately it was a big job we needed a heat exchanger. We live in a condo and have a furnace in a closet that is not made any more and only one distributor. Bernie did all he could to get the distributor to ship my heat exchanger he bugged them to try to get it sooner kept me in the loop and called the next day to make sure all was good. Bernie. Arrived on time and immediately performed thorough system inspection. Determined that refrigerant charge was low and added fresh material. Resealed all charge ports to inhibit future refrigerant loss. Cleaned heat exchanger coil and bottom drains on external portion of unit. Reassembled unit cover and cleaned up work area. Charged only $40 for service plus cost of refrigerant.

My furnace has leaked water for years causing the circuit board to fail. Bernie was the first out of many repairmen that identified and repaired the problem. His honesty, professionalism, and prices are incredible. I wish there was an A+++ rating. I had another company out before Bernie checked out the problem. They were $200 more expensive for the circuit board and didn't know why the furnace was leaking. They wanted me to replace an 11-year-old furnace. Bernie noticed the heat exchanger showed wear and he mentioned it may still be under warranty. It was and he obtained it at no cost to me other than the installation.

We asked Bernie for a quote, and we were impressed that he got back to us the same day that he came out to the house. We were also very impressed with the price (it seemed to help that we contacted him in May before the really busy season). Although the job took longer than originally expected, the men stuck with it for 2 long consecutive days, and Bernie stayed true to his quote. Everyone was hardworking and professional.
