EQUITY BUILDERS

It went well. Bob Sutton is easy to get along with and fair. As he was working, an inspector for the Pepper Pike Building Department arrived. Sutton was doing replacement work, not new, so a permit was not required. Inspector claimed he was just driving down the street (and saw a truck in the driveway???) and thought he'd take a look. We don't know if a neighbor had called and reported work in progress. Bob was required to "register." $200. I paid $100, as it had not been figured into the bid...(3) The Angie's List site is not letting me type in reason I hired him, so I will put it here: Of the 3 people who bid the job, Bob was the only one who took off rotting boards to inspect the depth of the job that needed to be done, before bidding. There would be no surprises that way as opposed to the other contractors, who tapped the wood, looked at the falling sawdust, and guessed what would have to be replaced, and what would not. With that method, there are always additional expenses.

They were excellent! He was a perfectionist. I would absolutely use him again. He didn't leave any mess. The work is beautiful!

Bob is one of those rare kind of people - honest! He handled everything and since this was an insurance claim we didn't have to deal with the insurance company because he took care of every situation that came up. His quality of work and ethics are outstanding. I highly recommend him for any kind of remodeling or general contract work you need, in fact I'm going to have him re-shingle the rest of my roof in the near future.
