They were a little pricey. I thought it was rather expensive. They did a good job, but it was pricey for what they did.

I ordered 8.5 yards of mulch and it was going to be delivered the next day between 11:30 and 12:00 when it didn't come by 2:00 called they said they rescheduled it to the next day. That was news to me no one called. They did come out later that day. The next day I had 2 college guys come to put it down when I cam to check on their progress the mulch was horrible large clumps of clay and a lot of rocks some large. I called Grace Bros. they said someone would call back. Someone did but I didn't get the call. They continued to lay the mulch it was the only day they were available. I had to call Grace back and said I wasn't happy with the mulch and I also needed more without the clay and rocks I think we ran short because we couldn't use so much of it we ordered 3 more yards this mulch was nice. I have no idea where they got the other mulch no explanation was given I feel that mulch never should have been delivered to a residential property. The mulch looks terrible and I keep picking up rocks and clay when ever I walk around the mulch looks like I has been down for 2yrs instead of 2 weeks. If you order make sure you ask for there good mulch!

Overall I was very pleased with the work and in particular Don Grace himself. The lawn was put in early summer of 2010 so I did have concern that it would take and withstand the summer which was quite hot. I followed Don's instructions about watering the lawn all summer and I did not have any burn out. Later in the fall I did have some crab grass and nut grass (a wide bladed grass that has a noticeably different shade of green than the Kentucky Blue grass that was installed.) Don identified the problem, ordered and applied a herbicide which resolved the problem. I applied crab grass preventer this spring and have not had any reappearance of the crab grass. Early this spring some of the nut grass reappeared. I called Don and he said he would be back out to apply the hebicide again and the lawn is now clear of the nutgrass with no damage to the rest of the lawn.

I was especially impressed with Don Grace's follow-up through the entire project. Landscaping has taken well, and the lawn looks great. I would definitely recommend and use him again if I decide to do some additional landscaping in my back yard.

I ordered mulch from Grace Brothers for the beds in my yard. I received a flyer from this company in my mailbox and my next door neighbor ordered from Grace Brothers. The cost of the mulch was $32.00/yard plus $25.00 for delivery, a total of nearly $500.00. We have lived in the same house for 25 years and have been ordering 12 yards of mulch each year. I ordered 13 yards this year because I wanted some extra mulch to go around my garden which I haven't covered in the past. On May 20th, Grace Brothers delivered what they said was 13 yards of mulch. There wasn't even enough mulch to cover the usual beds that I always cover! I called Grace Brothers and explained that we have been ordering 12 yards (and this time there was supposed to be 13 yards of mulch) for 25 years and there has always been enough to cover the bed areas in our yard. I was told that yards are measured and quot;in buckets using a loader so there can be some variationand quot; in what constitutes a yard and the young man on the phone made no apologies for the shortage of mulch. I had to order 2 additional yard to complete the job. That was another $100.00 as they charged me a delivery fee once again. I felt patronized when I called to explain my disappointment and nothing was done to rectify the situation. The only reason I ordered more mulch from this company was because I wanted the mulch to be the same so that my landscaping would appear uniform. I won't oder from them again.

Work was complete on day promised. Crew was curtious and polite. Would use again.
