FURNITURE NOOK-NORTH ROYALTON

Purchased an Ort recliner that included a lifetime warranty. I have reached out to Terry at the Furniture nook for the past five weeks and still haven't had a return call. I can't use my warranty without going through the Furniture Nook. Incompetent and unreliable

Let me apologise up front for the lengthy review but there is alot to tell. While I hate to leave a bad review of a small business, I appreciate honest reviews. We Found Furniture Nook on Facebook Marketplace and visited their store in September after messaging Gary. We saw a vanity top on facebook that we loved and placed the order with a down payment. The estimated build time was 4 to 6 weeks, actually took 10 weeks, but we were not in a hurry and emphasized that at the time. Picked up the top and placed it on the vanity when we got home and it would not sit level. Upon inspection both ends were severely cupped (warped) and the whole top had a slight twist so that only 3 corners touched the vanity at any given time. I contacted Gary and provided pictures (attached) per his request. The pictures show each end resting on a level and the red marker is for scale showing a 1/4" gap on each end. ***The picture of the vanity with the top is what we thought we were ordering, but the one we received is only similar in color. Ours does not look like authentic rough-sawn wood but instead like someone tried to reproduce the rough sawn effect. The seams are partially filled with putty or glue for some reason and the edges are not rubbed as in the picture. When we ordered we emphasized that we wanted the look in the picture. The only variation Gary indicated was that the stain color may not be exact but they could come very close. So while i can't complain about the color variation you can see even in the pictures the vast differences. After messaging Gary a few times he thinks a couple strips attached should correct the top, but i don't want a "corrected"top, as that's not what we I ordered and paid for. I don't even want a new top as I've already made plans to go elsewhere. I feel we are entitled to a refund for what was supposed to be a quality Amish built custom top.

The table took approximately 2 months to build before delivery. The table was delivered with a 3/4" crack in the table top finish. In addition to the obvious crack defect, in my opinion the table top has a blotchy stain areas and the board grain patterns have been mismatch. The table simply was not finished in a workmanlike manner. When the table was delivered, we discussed the crack with the delivery men, who stated simple call the store and they will take care of it. We called the store and Furniture Nook refuses to come out and inspect or repair the table.
