Called up around 9pm on a weekday and he answered the phone. He was able to come out the next day and called me about 30 minutes before he arrived at my house to let me know he was on his way. He first made a new key to see if that would fix the problem since the old key was very worn. But that didn't work so he then took apart the steering column to remove the ignition lock mechanism. He cleaned it and filed down scratched and nicked surfaces that were preventing the mechanism from working properly. Then he put it back together and that fixed the problem. I appreciated how he was interested in explaining the problem wanted to make sure I knew how to prevent it in the future. I also received a new key.
