A representative came out the same day I called. He was knowledgeable and professional. The price was very good and was made even better thanks to an Angie’s List coupon on the new door opener. The process went smoothly from start to finish. The door and opener work great and the new door improves the appearance of our home. They hauled away the old door and opener and there was no mess when they were done. We are very happy with the whole experience as well as our new door and opener.

I called to make an appointment. I spoke with Cheryl, who told me that she would walk me through a few steps that might eliminate the need for a service call. She was friendly, professional, and very patient. Thanks to her tips, I now know how to override the protection feature (keep holding the button in as the door descends). I also know to wiggle the little boxes with the LED lights in them. Once they are both on and steady, they are communicating as they should. Thanks to Cheryl, I avoided an $80 service fee. I really appreciated Cheryl's taking time to walk me through these steps so that I could save the money. I have dealt with this company several times in the past and have been very happy with their service and with their employees. This company is A+ with me.

I call on "Black Friday" and they answered the phone very promptly. I asked about replacing the broken spring and they gave me two options, 1) They can come out on Monday 2) I can pay a little extra for emergency service and have it completed within an hour or so. The extra money was well worth it. It saved me time and aggravation. They had everything repaired with one hour from my initial call. Amazing service! The gentleman who did the repairs was friendly and answered all of my questions. I was able to pay the bill even before he left. These folks are top notch. Very impressed and will use them again!!

Great. The guy that came out had 30+ years experience and had seen many of the old heavy wooden garage doors that are typical in Cleveland Heights. He took ours down and put up a new one. We needed additional track hardware because of the height limitations of the garage, which was all quoted out before hand. I would use them again for sure!

A year ago I contracted with this company to install a garage door opener and to replace the gasket at the bottom of my garage door.. They installed the garage door opener and did not replace the gasket. They said they would contact us to schedule the gasket replacement. They never did. Recently, I contacted them to replace the gasket and to check and lubricate my now, one year old garage door opener. Again, they did half the job. I got the gasket replaced, but the work was not done on the garage door opener. Today, when I called to have the job completed, There was no apology and little interest in completing the job. They would not provide a reasonable window for when I could expect the technician and were argumentative when I pressed to have a 2 hour time frame as to when they would arrive. This company has extremely poor customer service. I will find another company to do business with and I recommend you do the same.

I contacted Homenik to replace a cable drum on my overhead garage door unit, and inspect the overall quality of the install; I suspected the problem was symptomatic of a deeper issue. On the first visit, the technician remarked that the spring assembly was of very poor quality, and he would not operate upon it in any way. I did not think this was unreasonable, considering his explanation. He recommended a replacement and so I had to set up a follow-on appointment for the following week. I was careful to state that it would have to be an afternoon appointment (just like the current one I'd scheduled). The following week, the technician called me in the morning and said he was at my place. I told him I was at work and reiterated it would have to happen in the afternoon. Five (!) phone calls from both him and the office later, I finally picked up, irritated at the interruptions to my workday. The receptionist stated that she "couldn't have her tech waiting hours for me." So, I told her to have him conduct other jobs in the meantime and that we had agreed to the afternoon anyway. Apparently, this wasn't an option, so I cancelled. A frustrating experience. I ended up going with a competitor and it turned out to be the right call. I was able to make an appointment for the following Saturday, and dealt with a very organized and thorough staff to get the job done.

The unit was 2 years old and in-warranty. Had the new part in hand and needed the part replaced knowing full well that I had to pay the service fee. After being placed on hold twice, the came back on the call and declined service due to liability concerns. I guess if you are installing a new opener, new garage door, or replacing a spring, they are comfortable. Don't understand why replacing a motor is so troubling. Went somewhere else.

I called Homenik Door at 8:00 AM. Cheryl was friendly and professional. She told me that she would fit me in. Rick called just before 11:00 and told me he would be at my home in about an hour, which was when he arrived. Rick was also friendly and professional. He asked me to show him what the problem was. You guessed it -- the door closed completely! I tried it several times and it closed completely each time. Rick checked the photo eyes and they seemed to be in alignment and there was nothing obvious blocking them. I asked him some questions about replacing my heavy wooden door with a metal one. He measured my door and gave me a ball park figure. We went back into the garage and I prepared to pay for the service call. I closed the door again, and this time the door reversed. Rick had me raise and lower the door several more times, sometimes purposely causing the door to reverse. He cleaned the bottom of the door and the track. We opened and closed the door successfully about a half dozen times. Rick told me what to watch out for so that this will not happen again. He did not leave until I was satisfied that the problem was resolved. This is the second time I have done business with this company and I am very happy with them.

We had a new garage door installed 2 years ago, in April of 2016. I am doing the review at this time because I want to say that, over these 2 years, the door has functioned very well and I am very happy that I chose Homenik to do the work. The serviceman was professional in every way, even taking time to explain the options and hearing what I wanted. A week later, the new door was installed. I have not had any issues with the new door, even though it is the "base model" and am happy with both the quality and service of Homenik.

I called and was sent a serviceman in less than 24 hours (for a non-emergency repair). He was prompt, friendly, professional, and fixed our garage door in about 30 minutes! He quickly identified the problem and got to work. Price was unbelievably reasonable. Very pleased!! Will definitely be using Homenik Door for any future needs!

The man who answered the phone asked me questions about what was happening with the opener as the door went down and started back up, especially whether or not the light was blinking. He told me several things that might be causing the problem. He said that he would rather save me money by offering these suggestions. If I was unsuccessful, I should call back and they would come out. While we were talking, I had continued to raise and lower the door. Finally, it stayed down. The man I was speaking with said that perhaps there had been a leaf or something hanging from the bottom of the door. I was impressed by his desire to save me money. Not all companies are so altruistic. Last year, this company installed a new garage door opener for me, and I was pleased with all aspects of that transaction, as well.
