Never showed when promised, owner was very unprofessional

Great! The owner took time to explain the process. The deck was completely sanded and refinished. One board was replaced because of rot. I will hire them again in the spring to wash and inspect my deck.

I had a very good experience with them. They did a deck restoration where they came in and sanded and re-stained he deck. They were pretty prompt. Their estimate was fair and they stuck to the price even if they had to deal with a couple of things they hadn't anticipated but they didn't increase the price at all. They got the work done on a timely basis.

Excellent finished product, quality of work is not lacking with this company. The price was very reasonable for what they did, they provided an accurate quote and completed the work in line with the original quote. They did have to run hoses through the interior of the unit and they took great care to keep things clean with minimal disruption. It was incredibly difficult to schedule the work, and getting in touch with them was often difficult. The work was being done on a rental property, which was communicated several times, and they still left info at the rental house vs calling me, couldn't give me a set date that they would start work (which doesn't work when I have to give 24 hour notice) and arrived almost 90 mins after calling to say they were on the way. It was frustrating, but the job was done well. I wouldn't use them again on another rental, but would in my own residence where there was more flexibility.

Excellent, they came when the said they would and left the area as they found it.

They are wonderful and had done major work for us previously. They come once a year. This company comes when it says it is going to and it does the job. It is just never a problem. I like the idea that they show up when they say they are coming. They keep up on top of it and send us a postcard early in the spring telling us to call and make an appointment so nothing slips by. I have already passed them on to people. I told people that they are wonderful and that they do what they say they are going to do, which is a big deal. Their prices, from what I saw, are very reasonable. They do a good job and keep on top of things.

Gave a fair and very reasonable qoute. Stood by what he had quoted. Work done efficiently and in a timely manner. Final product very good. Would very much recommend to others and use him in the future.

How did it go? Overall, it went very well. They were wonderful to work with. One of the spots on the deck needed to be treated again. Also there was a small amount of splatter that did get on the siding of the house. They were very gracious and quick to return to work on those two things. A few weeks ago I discovered a little more splatter on the house. I was assured that someone would be out later in the Spring to care for this.

Overall job was done well.  The material used has proven difficult to keep clean.  A special cleaner must be used often.  This is time consuming and a bit expensive.  I would use Deck Rescue in the future but I would not use the brand of product they used to stain our deck. That's why my overall rating is a B.

Seen the before and after of their process at a home show. They provided an onsite quote which was accepted. They where on time when they indicated they would be there for the deck cleaning and again when they stained the deck. Very pleased with the whole process and the deck looks great!

Deck Rescue LLC has done a fabulous job and their professionalism was excellent. They showed up on time, they were prompt, they were courteous, they cleaned up, they did exactly what they were supposed to do, and I thought he price was very reasonable. I had them back to do a maintenance job.

It went very well. I am a previous customer of Deck Rescue, and got a postcard back in March reminding us about their services. They offered priority scheduling to previous customers, which was nice.... so our deck was finished and ready-to-use by May 1!
It took a few weeks to get a quote. The quote was OK -- perhaps a bit high, given all the wood on our fence/deck is less than 1 year old. (Which is why we gave a lower grade in and quot;price.and quot;) BUT, the service is high-quality and we were happy to get on the schedule and finished so early. We also like the product they use, compared to other companies.
Three guys did the job, and finished in one afternoon. We definitely will use Deck Rescue in the future.
One note: they said they take credit cards, but couldn't process our payment once the job was done (because of some maintenance on the credit card machine). The person in the Deck Rescue office called us and assured us we didn't have to worry about that... and they would be in touch once the credit card machine was ready. This was very nice, as the only reason we continued to work with them is because we wanted to pay with Visa.

Excellent job - Covered plants, did not crush my hostas, did not overspray on houseI was golfing when they arrived to do the stain process, and they could not have done a better job than if I was watching each move they made.We are very pleased with the way it looks now Our deck was rescued!!!

The job performed on 7/26 was just terrible! Paint blobs were everywhere on the deck siding and adjacent areas -- spray guy blamed some of it on wind gusts -- only protection they used for outside areas was for one guy to hold up a piece of canvas while the other sprayed. No canvas was held up to protect the area around the patio door or adjacent siding. Some tight areas had not been painted at all, but siding along those areas had brush strokes of redwood paint on our WHITE SIDING. We told the crew we couldn't give them our check until this mess was cleaned up - paint doesn't come off easily. They called Gary Young and told him of the problems, and he instructed them to use the cell phone to take pics of the worst areas. THESE ARE THE ONLY PHOTOS TAKEN OF THE AREA -- THEY ARE "AFTER" PICS!!! Gary came out twice and did some clean-up. Then he left a note in the door when we weren't home saying he hoped we were satisfied. We didn't find the note until the next day, at which time we called to say we didn't think his clean-up work was finished. That's when he became belligerent and said TWICE that he had "BEFORE" pictures showing spots on our siding. We asked him TWICE to show us those 'alleged" pictures. He ignored those requests and said he'd file a lien against our home if he didn't have our check within 2 weeks. We aren't willing to face a legal challenge with this man. The workmanship in no way is what we thought we were paying for, and his ridiculous claim that our beautiful home always looked like this before his crew began their work is beyond belief. We sent info to the Building Department of North Olmsted, where he lists his mailing address, and they thanked us for informing us of his work. He is not licensed in N.O., and they will be in touch about him. Gary Young's Deck Rescue has left us with a mess that we're having a hard time cleaning up, but we have paid him his fee of $354.40 to get rid of him. Our house will never be quite the same, because spray paint is in areas that we can't begin to reach to remove. We don't know if Gary sent an inferior crew of workers to our house, but we want everyone to be aware of what they also might expect.

Gary returned my messages the same day and kept me updated on when they would be out. The workers were friendly, professional and did a great job. They even took extra care to cover/protect my plants from the spray.

As a retired electrician, and a former do it yourself, I know a good job and a reasonable price.

They power washed the deck and restrained it. It hadn’t been done for 4 or 5 years. They did a nice job. The workers were courteous and cleaned up nicely after themselves.

perfect. Deck Rescue did a great job -- the house never looked better! My husband and I used them a couple years ago to power wash and stain our deck... so this was the first time we used them for house washing. The house looks marvelous. the price was good, too -- we shopped around, and found similar or higher prices. We picked Deck Rescue because we are familiar with them.

Fabulously. They arrived when they said they would start our deck and finished when they said they would. Our formerly horrible finished deck now looks superior. I can not say enough good things about the service that Deck Rescue performed on our deck.
