Phoenix Appliance Repair

He came out on a Saturday. He determined the problem and replaced a circuit board that was responsible for the cooling. I would highly recommend this company for any large appliance servicing.

He fixed it.

It was right before Thanksgiving and my 5 year old refrigerator had stopped working. There was no time to buy a new one and I was desperate. I Googled appliance repair and found Phoenix was located nearby. Jim came out and worked on my fridge and found that ice had built up behind the back cover. He left it unplugged overnight and came back the next day to finish the job. He saved me from buying a new refrigerator, and more importantly, he saved Thanksgiving!

Repairman took fridge apart and told me how to fix it, which I did while he watched, then put appliance back together and charged me $130.

Jim was very busy and I had called a little later in the day. Regardless he said he would come by . Sure enough true to his word he came after hours. He knew right away what the problem was. He systematically took care of the issue. Removed ice put in new timer as well as addressing a couple other issues. I was so impressed by him. I know he must have been very tired after a long day's work until 8 pm. I will definitely call him for any other work needed. I recommend him highly!!!

Jim cleaned out the drain at the bottom of the dishwasher to allow for the water flow. It worked a couple times then became blocked again. He had to return and clean out another component of the dishwasher. It worked and has worked sine then.

He quickly left to get the part and came back a few hrs later and quickly repaired the washer,, Two days later my fridge was not cold and he replaced the master panel which was $400.00...when that did not solve the problem he returned and totally disassembled the freezer and replaced the fan,which was quite a job. When I asked what I owed him he said I had already paid enough for the panel and there was no furthur charge. Everything has been working well since then...I would definitely call him again!!!

Jim came out on a Friday night at 7pm to help get our dryer back up and running. He was very easy to work and quickly diagnosed the issue to be the heating element was bad. He even helped me pull the dryer out to put in a dryer vent elbow so the dryer vent would not fall out of the wall. I would definitely go back to Jim if I needed repair work done in the future.

Called Jim after I missed an appointment with another company. Jim came out that afternoon and put an igniter in our oven. My wife was very happy. Now we have a working oven for the weekend. My wife felt he was very honest. Will use again.

.If you're looking for honesty and fairness, Jim with Phoenix Appliance is your answer!   In all the years I've dealt with repair folks,  I can say NEVER did I have a person tell me "You don't owe me anything for the call, I'll take the part back."  
Jim answered my initial call  - checked the washer out and suggested a part to replace but gave me the option of purchasing a new washer due to the age of the one I have.  We opted to have the washer repaired.  When Jim returned with the purchased part - pulled out the washer and began the repair - noticed more issues and suggested purchase of a new or refurbished washer. When I brought out my checkbook, " No Charge for the second call"  even tho he had begun the work and had used his time to pull the washer out and begin the work .  I am keeping his name and number for sure!!

Excellent customer service.  Will call again for future repairs.

Gas oven would not light.  Burners and broiler worked OK.  Called Jim for service in the early afternoon and he came over in about an hour and work was completed within an hour.   It broke just before Christmas and were still baking for the holidays and for a birthday.  Greatly appreciated that Jim could get over so quickly.  Bottom line I would use him again and recommend him to other people.

He was very professional as well as informative and kind.  He totally cleaned up after himself and advised me on what to do until all my water dried up under the dishwasher.  It was a lot less expensive than I had anticipated, especially since he had to come on a Saturday.  Hopefully I won't have any more need for appliance repairs, but if I do this is the only company I would call.

Great repair job!

Several electrical components in a nearly new refrigerator in one of our rental properties fried during the middle of the night, emitting noxious smoke and setting off the smoke detector.  This was early Saturday morning and the first 8 repair services I called were not open. When I called Phoenix Appliance Repair, the owner, Jim, answered the phone, had a good idea of what the problem was, contacted my tenant, and went out and repaired the problem. It was probably less than 3 hours between the time I called him and the time he left the property after making the repairs.  This is exceptional service and is greatly appreciated by me and by my tenant.   I will use Phoenix for all appliance repair issues in the future. Jim is a gem.

 Dryer had totally stopped operating.  He showed me what was wrong with it (a screw had fallen off a part of interior, and had shorted out dryer. )  He replaced screw, reaffixed sensor and then replaced belt.  He was here for an hour and I observed him doing the work.  He definitely knows what he's doing.  I'd recommend him, BUT would caution you to pin down his arrival time.

needed to replace all of the hoses on my dryer, including the outside connection and its related cover.
called him in the early afternoon hoping for an appointment that evening, and he agreed without any question or difficulty, showed up in timely fashion, analyzed the problem, picked up the materials that he needed which he did not have on hand, and did the complete job very efficiently.
overall very satisfied.

It went very well...  James and I spoke about the error code our oven was showing, and we agreed on a scheduled time.  he arrived on time, with the correct part, and did a fantastic job of repairing our oven.  Added him as a favorite, and if we ever need another appliance repair, he is the first person we are calling!
