LEVIN FURNITURE- N Olmsted

The dinette set and mirror were delivered on time as promised, in excellent condition. Had an issue with the accent chest -- the one they put on the truck was damaged, so the delivery person took it back to the warehouse. I was supposed to hear back from Levin right away, didn't -- and after an hour or two I called the store. There was some confusion about the delivery; chest was at first marked as delivered. They straightened the matter out a short time later and delivered a replacement chest the following week. My only complaint is that the salesman did not tell me I needed to get the dining table sealed. The finish is "fossil stone" and scratches easily, which I did not know when I bought it. The finish looks more durable than it is.

The salesman did not have detailed knowledge of the pieces/available styles and fabrics. He was also a bit impatient with our questions. When we decided on a piece to purchase he incorrectly told us that all money had to be paid up front. When we found out that the order would be non-refundable, non-cancellable. non-returnable we stated we were uncomfortable giving them the full payment up-front and that we would like to put down a deposit and pay the balance when we reviewed the item to be sure it was as ordered. This was agreed to by Levin employees at the time of deposit. However, when the couch was finally ready to be delivered we were told that we'd have to pay the balance, couch would be delivered and there would be no opportunity to view it prior to delivery. We explained this was not agreed to, etc. The manager finally agreed to have the couch delivered to the store for our inspection; if approved we would pay the balance and then Levin would deliver to the house. This took 5 phone calls and still did not happen as planned. The couch first went to the Oakwood Village store where it was marked for customer pickup. Finally it got to the N.O. store again marked "customer pickup". After 3 more calls I finally was able to view and pay for the couch. A week later it was delivered with the bottom fabric not fully attached. Another week for a technician to come for repair and another wait for him to show up. Will not shop here again.

The salespeople were quite pushy, though we were able to find a couch we liked, and we got it during the 12 week delivery time-frame that was quoted.
