THE NEXT MORNING WE VISITED THE STORE, SELECTED A NEW WATER HEATER, AND RETURNED HOME TO CALL THE 800 NUMBER AT 11AM. THE CONTRACTOR CALLED AT 1PM TO CONFIRM THAT HE HAD PICKED UP THE ITEM WHICH HE BROUGHT AT 2PM TO INSTALL. BY 5PM WE HAD HOT WATER AGAIN. WE WERE WITHOUT HOT WATER ONLY 19 HRS. THE PRICE AND INSTALLATION FEE WERE REASONABLE AND THE WORK APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN COMPETENT. USING THE 800 NUMBER GOT US A SUBSTANTIAL EXTENSION ON THE WARRANTY. EVERY JOB SHOULD BE THIS EASY! IT REALLY PAID TO READ THE FINE PRINT. GETTING THE EXTENDED WARRANTY IS A NICE BONUS FOR USING THE 800 NUMBER.
Description of Work: OUR 13-YEAR-OLD WATER HEATER STARTED LEAKING WATER OUT OF A TOP CONNECTION AT 10PM SUNDAY NIGHT. BASED ON THE AGE, WE OPTED TO REPLACE.

I ORDERED CARPET ON DEC. 6, AND THERE WERE MANY PROBLEMS WITH THE INSTALLATION, THE CARPET ITSELF, AND THE BILL. IT TOOK UNTIL APRIL 22,2003 TO GET THINGS STRAIGHTENED OUT. THE INSTALLATION COMPANY AND THE REPRESENTATIVES FROM HOME DEPOT WERE RUDE AND NEVER WOULD RETURN MY PHONE CALLS.
