The installers arrived on time and completed work in a timely manner. After install was completed decorative grids on the inside of the windows were found to be uneven which required 3 of the windows to be reordered and replaced a second time. I obtained several estimates before deciding on home depot. Home Depot was the highest priced but I went with them because I believed that the windows would be high quality and energy efficient. I am very disappointed. With the cold temps we have had recently I can feel a considerable amount of cold coming from the windows. I have ugly thermal curtains up which I was hoping I would be able to remove after installing energy efficient windows, this will never happen because these windows do not keep the cold out. After I complained about the cold coming off the windows I was told that the reason I have cold coming in is because I have a slab foundation and the cold is emanating from my foundation. Also disappointed with the trim around the outside of the windows. Pieces are overlapping,does not look professional in my opinion. I Paid way too much money to be having these types of quality issues. Home Depot will never replace any of my windows again. I also attempted to put up a public review on the Home Depot web site, with photos, but a link is required to do so. after complaining that I was unable to excess the public review site I still do not have a link.

They were pretty good. The man that put the flooring did well. When I had some problems the installers came back and fixed it. I didn't have much contact with them because they did it while I was a work but they were fine.

Customer service at this location was great. Everyone was friendly and efficient. An employee came out to help us load our vehicle. Nothing to complain about at the Brookpark Home Depot location.

Carpet Installation
The installer arrived promptly and was courteous and professional, and fairly quick. He cleaned up nicely and I can't think of any negatives, though I am not hard to please. I would certainly recommend them to my friends or relatives. This is the second time we've used them for carpeting and will use them again for the bedrooms when we're ready.

They are so friendly and personable they go above and beyond every step of the way. Every detail was handled meticulously, I was able to track my order very easily every step of the way. They allure ultra was the floor we got and it's a floating floor its excellent, the personnel was great that they sent out, they even had a supervisor making sure everything things were going properly. I will use them again for home improvements. I went to an actual flooring store and they were not as knowledgeable as the home depot.

General Remodeling
The Home Depot located at 26241 Brookpark Road, North
Olmsted, Ohio, 44070 was contracted to do an extensive remodel of the kitchen
and bathroom in a home which totaled approximately $49,000 and nine months to complete.
I
started the remodel with three goals in mind.
The first was to be fully handicap accessible, the second easy to clean
and the third to have the same components in both the kitchen and bathroom for
design continuity in a small house. Overall the staff was not informed enough
about their products to make reliable recommendations resulting in multiple
design errors. The final, signed off
plans for these two rooms could not be executed during construction. Examples include:
and middot;
Selling a molded, one piece Staron bathroom sink
and countertop which was to extend over the newly installed cabinets and
toilet. After the cabinets were
installed the Staron representative came to measure the countertop. We were informed the countertop could not
extend over the toilet without a complete release of liability. The North
Olmsted Home Depot store designer stated our plans included a hinge between the
sink and the toilet and showed me adulterated final plans. I pointed out that my signed off final plans
did not show the hinge and that she herself at risk of fraud and
termination. Furthermore, the only
molded sinks available could not fit the small vanity and cabinet that had been
installed. As it turned out there was
only one sink in the entire Home Depot catalog small enough to fit our cabinet
and we were stuck with it. In addition,
the countertops in the kitchen and bathroom were designed to be identical. They are not.
The kitchen has the Staron molded sink/countertop, the bathroom has the
Staron countertop and the only drop-in sink that fit.
and middot;
The design of the bathroom sink wall had to
change to accommodate the substitute sink.
The cabinets were installed, the drywall up and an electrician paid to
run the wiring to the light above the mirror.
The mirror was to be placed low so my elderly father could sit and shave. Unfortunately with the unplanned elevation of
the new sink the faucets would bump into it.
Home Depot suggested putting in a different faucet. I pointed out that it would not then match
all the other fixtures in the kitchen and bath (at that point I was still
striving for design continuity in my home).
Then Home Depot suggested the faucets be placed next to the sink instead
of in their usual position behind the sink.
I refused such an unorthodox plan so a second demolition occurred in the
bathroom to raise the light fixture high enough so the sink, faucets and mirror
all fit. I had paid an electrical
contractor to do the bathroom lighting.
The wiring for the lights were moved by the carpentry contractors.
and middot;
The refrigerator didn’t fit. I purchased a white LG refrigerator, stove,
dishwasher and microwave to match my brand new white LG washer and dryer. This was important because my washer and
dryer are in my kitchen. One of the carpenters discovered the
refrigerator did not fit into the space designed for it without overhanging
several inches into the doorway. The
subcontractor hired by Home Depot to do the installation, informed me the plans
showed that the refrigerator hung out into the doorway, that our old
refrigerator also partially blocked the doorway and that it was my customer
preference that the new refrigerator extended into the entryway. We had to go back to pre-demolition photos
taken by Home Depot to prove to them that the old refrigerator did not obstruct
the entry for a wheelchair. Home Depot
informed me I needed a countertop size refrigerator requiring I change my
appliances to stainless steel as LG did not make a white countertop depth
refrigerator. My appliances no longer
match. The new appliances arrived. The refrigerator was too tall to fit under
the cabinets installed above the refrigerator and too tight to fit next to the
cabinet. Two cabinets had to be torn out
and re-ordered. The cabinet above the
refrigerator is now tall, thin cabinet now tipped on its side so that the door
opens from the bottom up instead of from side to side. The
side cabinet does not touch the refrigerator as planned and there is a
convenient spot for food to fall while cooking that cannot be retrieved without
pulling out the refrigerator from the wall.
and middot;
The brand new bathroom ceiling cracked. The repair was to put silicone putty in the
crack. I protested and the ceiling was
repaired with plaster-mud, badly. The defect
in the newly constructed ceiling is obvious.
and middot;
For brevity I will allow the reader to imagine
the difficulties with leaking faucets, having repainting done following the
second demolitions, cabinet pulls being placed in the wrong locations requiring
new doors to be ordered, etc.
and middot;
I complained to the store manager on multiple
occasions. At the end of the
construction we met and I told him I wanted the contractor’s fee back as I had
to call all the subcontractors myself and that the design was so flawed I only
achieved one of my three stated objectives, namely a remodel that was fully
handicap accessible. I told the store manager
thought the individual products sold were good.
I personally liked the individual contractors that came to the house to
do the labor and told the store manager I thought they should be paid. Lastly, I told the store manager I wanted to
be fair to Home Depot in my compensation request. I request was for a $2000.00 refund which he
cheerfully shook my hand declaring I was more reasonable than most other
customers in this situation. Then the
money never came. I called the store
multiple times but the manager was never in a position to come to the
phone. I went to the store on several
occasions but I was told he was not available to speak with me. On one trip to the store he was there and I
stated I would wait at the customer service counter for him. I waited and waited and waited. I pulled a stool over from the paint
department to sit while a waited even longer.
I greeted customers as they passed by but this still did not bring the
store manager. Finally, approximately 45
minutes later he showed up to tell me the money wasn’t yet available. A store clerk gave me a tip to call corporate
customer care.
and middot;
Multiple phone calls and emails transpired with the
Corporate Customer Care department. I
requested the name of the store’s district manager to put in a personal
complaint against him to his supervisor when reimbursement was completed. I was told a gift card in the amount of $500
would come to recompense for the delay in the $2000.00 compensation and the
store would give it to me when I picked up the check. I told Customer Care that I should have
litigated as $500.00 gift card didn’t address the poor customer relations. In October, 8 months after construction began
and 3 months after it ended I picked up a check for $2000 and was told by the
store that my gift card would be sent by the corporate office. No gift card.
I called corporate. I was told

They are pretty good. They have different people do the installation so you don't know who you are going to get. The guy that did the installation was real good. He came in, did the work and got it done. He was punctual and good. I would use them again.

The price was actually $16000, and they said there was a discount and it would be $14000. Going through the other bids I found that I could have the roof replaced for that. They seemed to know about roofing, but they just charged too much. They were very responsive.

I stopped by Home Depot, made an appoint within a few days, met with the constactor and talked about project. Contractor was very professional, well prepared for our meeting and had the estimate to me within two days. It was not the highest or lowest bid, and everything about our meeting left me with a very positive feeling about the company's work. .

He did a good job. He does good work. He does work for four Home Depot stores. He came out the following day for measurements and had the doors come in within a week. I was satisfied with the installation. The contractor knew what he was doing and did an excellent job on it. He did everything the way it needed to be done. He showed up when he said he would and he cleaned everything up. The quality of the doors was good. He told me that I should paint the wood trim on the outside of the door because I was going to have problems painting around it after he put in the storm door and I would always end up getting paint on it. He installed the door on Wednesday and told me that he could come back on Thursday morning to install the storm door so that I would get time to have the door painted. I got some paint and painted the outside and he came in the next day and put in the storm door. His professionalism was very good. I am trying to get his name so that my girlfriend could ask him to do the installation when she gets a door.

They tore off the old roof and did repairs on the existing plywood that was under the old roof. Then they put on a new roof. The workers were professional and did what they said they were going to do. They did a good job of cleanup and carrying out the job according to what was in the contract. I thought the price was right and they did, seemingly, a quality job.

when i ordered the door the first time the manufacturer made a mistake- kristen at HD called me right away and gave me a more expensive door from another company at the same price. even though it wasnt their fault they were extremely attentive and did everything they could to fi the situation. this is the farthest HD from my home but the only one i will go to from now on. In all departments their employees actually know what their talking about. with other home depots i have had to ask other customers for advice and fight when something went wrong with an order. this is the only HD that I have been to that is actually service oriented.
