FLOORING CONCEPTS

We had $14000 worth of flooring installed. Flooring Concepts wanted to install the vinyl floor over the existing wood floor. We had some reservation but The staff assured us that it would be ok. Three weeks after installation our refrigerator leaked and damaged the kitchen floor. We had to mitigate the water damage and both layers of flooring had to be removed. We are planning to renovate our kitchen and went to Flooring Concepts to order the product and install the floor when we renovate our kitchen. We were aghast when Flooring Concepts called and told us that they would not repair the floor since the installers did not want to have to do the repairs necessary to reinstall the floor. We received a call from the account manager from Costco that stated he backed Flooring Concepts decision. The person was patronizing and insulting. I think Flooring Concepts should have to repair their own work. I am considering retaining an attorney.

It went wonderful. They where conscious of every detail no matter the time it took to do. Great finished job! Have gotten many complements on the work. The staff and company were great to work with and questions handled right away. Couldn't be happier, would hire again.

This is the fourth installation Flooring Concepts have done for us. They are great people to do business with and Brian and his crew did a great job as always.

That was terrible. The owner lied to me. He said that they had their own installation crew, and because of that they would have a more dependent and quality job, and when they came out, there were multiple problems that they caused. Some were simple things like when they were cutting the carpet around the edges, they cut way too far, so they made slices into the carpeting. They also had issues of removing staples in the room where they removed the carpet, and the guy took off a huge chunk of wood out of the flooring and it was hardwood flooring, and they thought they could just patch it up with some grey putty material because they are putting carpet on it. I tried to explain to them that that was our hardwood floor, and I could pull out the carpet anytime I want, and have the hardwood. In the middle of the thing they told me that I have a railing, and they charged more after the fact for removing the railing.They were just going to stuff pieces of carpet around the railing. They chopped through my home entertainment wiring that was taped onto the wall. The guy who was putting the carpet in didn't know what he was doing, so there were loose parts. They weren't really licensed and bonded. The company hired a crew and they were paying them as a contractor, and they weren't licensed or bonded. My insurance covered it, and I lost my insurance because of them. The price was good on the carpet. The owner was deceitful. I wouldn't recommend him. He wanted 50% down and the other 50% on the spot as if he is afraid that he will get ripped off. The response was horrible.

This job only took one day, just a few hours.  I removed all of the furniture I could carry, and they removed the larger items.  They pulled up the old carpet and cushion, cleaned the floor then laid the new carpet and cushion.  Everything was cleaned and vacuumed up after the job was complete.  Excellent job!

From carpet selection in the showroom to the carpet installation, I am totally satisfied. The installers were expeditious, professional and experienced. The carpet is exactly what I had envisioned and was installed beautifully.

Choosing the carpet was very simple. We brought several samples home to audition in various lighting situations. They came a few days early to remove the carpeting from the living room so that we could deal with the floor stains and odors from pet accidents. Those things went very smoothly. There was a mixup in the timing for the installation. We thought they were going to arrive at 9:30, so when they showed up at 8:10, there were still some items to be moved out of the China cabinet in the dining room and there was a lamp and a bucket left in the living room, in addition to the furniture. When the installers arrived, they informed my grandson(who had answered the door) that the house was not carpet-ready and that everything was supposed to be removed from the room. I arrived at that time and explained the timing mixup and also told them that we had paid to have the furniture moved. I told them that it would take me about 10 minutes to finish emptying the China cabinet. One of the installers was extremely rude, raising his voice and telling me that we had already had two weeks to get this done and there was no reason for this. He then proceeded to call the owners and to take pictures( without my knowledge) and send them to the owners. He also had told me that they would not be able to install the carpet that day and that it would not be done before Christmas. After he talked to the owners, he told me that they would do the living room but he would have to see about the dining room, hall and stairs. After he settled down after his tirade, they proceeded to install the carpeting in the living room, dining room, hall and stairs. They did a beautiful job on the installation, and we are very happy with the quality of the carpet and the installation. My only complaint is with the rude and arrogant manner in which the installer spoke to me, the homeowner. I brought it up to him before he left, mainly to give him a chance to apologize and make things right. He refused to admit any wrongdoing and proceeded to repeat everything from the morning tirade, this time in front of my husband. he also told us that we were lucky that it was installed that day. While we love our new carpeting, I would think twice before recommending this company because of the installers rudeness.

provider STILL has a piece of our property; will not even walk over to the local post office to mail it to me! Well, it could even have been sold by now or used on a project. No responsiveness, nor professionalism here.

This was the second time we have used Flooring Concepts.  The first was just 2 bedrooms about 3 years ago.  This time was vastly more complex.  Flooring Concepts has great selection and great people.  Karen Kendall spent well more than an hour with us helping us choose our carpet and tile.  Owner John Procaccini came out to measure and price the job.  John offered a lot of insight into planning the installation.  They use contractor installers, and these guys are the best!  We chose a high quality vinyl tile that's laid in a pattern called "Versailles".  There are several different sizes of square and rectangular tiles and it takes at least 12 tiles for one repeat of the pattern.  Plus, with kitchen, bath and hallway, we were putting it into a very complex, chopped up space.  We also had refrigerator, stove, washer, dryer and toilet that had to be removed and reinstalled.  Plywood underlayment went down first, then tile.  Installer Jeff Schimmelman agonized over every detail for most of 5 days to get it right.  It's perfect.  Couldn't be better.
The carpet wasn't as complicated, but installers Brian and Ryan had to cope with lots of furniture including a 1911 upright grand piano that surprised even them with how heavy it is.  It takes a lot of skill and experience to properly stretch carpet when you can't totally clear the room.  The carpet looks great.  The job also included removal of the old carpet.
Overall it was a pleasure to deal with a family owned local business where everyone genuinely cares about the quality of their work and customer satisfaction.
