Mike called before he came for the estimate. His estimate was almost half the price of another estimate. When we agreed to have the work done, I was given a 2 week time frame. They were able to come out within a week. The crew was quick to do the work and clean up. I had to make a separate schedule for the stump grinding. That was scheduled and completed very quickly. Overall I was very happy with the professionalism, the responsiveness, and the price. I will use them again in the future and I would recommend them.

I had not worked with the firm before. He was recommended by a friend. I did have to call a few times and he said he would stop by and estimate while I was at work. He then called me back and said that if I paid him cash he could do that day. I really don't keep $600 laying around and had to go to the bank on my way home. Then it was him calling me asking if I was home, when could he have the cash, etc. He received his money that day after services were performed.
But, I really didn't like being put in this position. And, he told me he would mail me a receipt and never did - as I wanted one for insurance purposes. He did take down the tree and all of the trimmings and he did a good job with this. I just thought he was cocky and when you have a good sized limb in your neighbor's yard and your own, you're desperate to have someone help you and your neighbor out. I used another firm to take down trees in my back yard later in the fall. Paid by check and he gave me a receipt.

Mike provided a quote the day I called him. Scheduled within the week and had the tree taken down before I even got home for lunch. I will use Mike for all my future tree issues. If I was slightly older and more out of shape, I would have taken Mike up on the brush removal ect. (full turnkey work), but I did the rest myself.

They showed up the day and time promised...and also did exactly what they quoted.....they do an EXCELLENT clean up after they are finished with the tree service...no debris..no trash. The guys here are all hard workers..work steady without the loud talk etc.

Not that Cuyahoga Tree Service needs another glowing report, but here it is. I am a resident and recently appointed maintenance coordinator for a small condo association in NR. We had been using another tree service for many years; and although they did good work, I felt that their estimates were rather ‘hastily’ prepared and the pricing seemed high for the time put into the jobs. So I decided to investigate other sources. I searched Angie’s List based on proximity to our location and then by services and ratings, which led me to contact Cuyahoga Tree Service. Given their outstanding reputation here on AL, I thought it might be a long-shot to even get an appointment with these guys. Well, Mike returned my afternoon phone call that same evening, and scheduled a site visit for the upcoming Saturday morning (which accommodated my work schedule). Mike’s quote came in ‘hundreds’ of dollars below our previous contractor’s. This was not a rush-job for us, and scheduling of the work was delayed for several weeks due to some issues within our Association. Once we gave the go-ahead, Mike was able to work us into his schedule within a week’s time. They arrived promptly on the scheduled day (might have even woke a couple of the neighbors). Mike and his crew made short work of cutting and chipping the trees, which were located in small shrub-beds in front of three units. His stump grinding guy (a subcontractor) followed up a few hours later and did a pretty good job given the tight clearance around a few of the locations. The areas were left in as clean and neat of a condition as practical for the work performed. Mike followed up with a phone call a couple days later inquiring as to if everything was completed satisfactory. I look forward to working with Cuyahoga Tree Service as our regular tree service contractor in the near future.

They did a nice job! They went out in the bucket. They were very neat and very efficient.

Mike at Cuyahoga Tree is great! I used him in February to cut up a tree that came down in a snow storm. Everyone else wanted to charge me around $2,000.00. This tree fell across our driveway so other companys thought they had me. I was laid off from work on 1/31/11, so I did not have that kind of money to spend. I called Cuyahoga tree and Mike came out to see it and gave me an estimate of $500.00. He was good to his word, finished the day he said he would even did some extra branch trimming for us. I called him again in May to get rid of an ant infested apple tree where the branch was hanging over the garage. He took care of it when the rains finally stopped in June. Again he was prompt, fast, great bunch of guys with him, clean and reasonable. Great job, great company!

She shops around for price, service, and those types of things. We have used them a number of times, so I know she's happy with them. The work that they do, as far as I know, is what she wants them to do. They do clean up. They are here when they say they will be. The price is good. I have no reason to be unhappy with them. They were careful when removing the trees. One of them was close to the house. One of the trees were in the backyard and they had to go between houses. They were very careful to not do any damage. They didn't have some of the equipment and they hired a sub-contractor. They let us know ahead of time about that. They also called ahead of time to let us know when they would be there. They came to check the work of the sub-contractor after it was done. They did the job on time and at a very good price. My wife was happy.

They seemed fine. They did what I asked them to do and they did it fine. The quality of work was good. I would use them again in the future.

Everything went really nice with them. I think that their price was fair. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future.

Mike gave us a fair and complete estimate. The crew arrived on time and finished all work on the estimate and more. They discovered a large split in a tree branch and requested permission to remove the branch. Everything was cleaned up.

They were excellent. Their price was reasonable. They cleaned up well afterwards.

Mike and his crew did a great job. They trimmed the oak for us approx. 6 years ago, and did a great job then too. Highly recommended. They cleaned up nicely and were professional.
