City Mowing

We bought a house recently and the yard has been neglected for a year while it was on the market. Dave and company has been mowing and trimming for me, getting the yard to a manageable condition. They are doing a great job. Dave is very friendly and professional.

City Mowing has been taking care of my yard since May 2014. They are doing an excellent job, and I plan on continuing with their services for the foreseeable future. Very professional.

Before I tell you the details of the job I do want to comment that the young man that has the company left me with a very good impression when I met him. He is very nice and will spend time discussing the job to be done. I do think that he had too many jobs to do and I was low man on the pole. I was not home when he did spring clean up. I was very disappointed with the clean up. He did not clean many areas I asked him to clean. He did take away a stack of sticks that I had piled up. In doing so he left many small sticks along my property line. He broke up the old mulch and applied a product to stop weeds from growing. It might have helped some. I have been pulling and spraying the weeds myself. He mowed my yard after the clean-up but instead of helping the mower cut up larger sticks and left many small sticks through out the yard. I called him a few days after the clean-up, leaving him a message that I was disappointed with the job and to please call me or stop over so we could discuss his work. It was 10 days later before he called me. He said he was very busy. I asked him to call again before coming over since I want to be here while he does any more work. He stated it would be a couple of weeks before he could come over since he was so busy. That would make it early June. Since talking with him I have decided not to have him do any more work for me.

The job was done quickly and professionally, he even took the time to explain to us that we need to add grub prevention again for the spring. This company is great to work with and when you talk to them, you know that they take pride in their services and what they recommend, is what you need, not what they want to sell you. We have recommended them to our friends and neighbors and will continue to use their services in the future.

We used him first to aerate our lawn and reseed. He was out when promised, quoted the job, came back with a very reasonable price including researching the type of seed that would best work in our yard and completed the job quickly and on time. We were so impressed that we had him estimate doing a spring clean up of our flower beds, trim and prune our trees including a large pine tree that we have in our backyard, edge around all flower beds to give a nice even edge and to re-lava rock (2 tons) all of our flower beds and around our home and trees. He researched to get us the best price on the rock and he quoted a great price on doing the entire job. Within two weeks, he had everything done we asked and by the time we asked for him to be finished. He worked around our schedule and timetable without any issues. Our home looks beautiful, he did a wonderful job, was very thorough, polite and very professional and took his time to make sure that the job was done right and we were happy with what he did. We would absolutely recommend Dave to anyone looking to have their landscaping done and we have recommended him to our neighbors and friends. We will certainly be using his services again in the fall and next spring!

Very efficient. He has a schedule of 30 other customers to do, but was able to fit me in perfectly.
