I am very satisfied with the work.
Response from Callow Basement Waterproofing
"Thank you for your honesty and comments. I have to say, your home was one of the worst we've done in the last year, with extensive mold, irritating odors, and damp walls. Once we dug, we discovered why. The walls were never "damp-proofed" nor was there a working footer pipe system to collect all rain water, thus the damage to your block walls. Soon we will be back to restore your lawn. Thank you for promoting us to your friends and family. Craig E. Callow - owner"

Water was seeping through my basement walls on one side of my house. The places in the basement where water was seeping through were beneath outside walls of exposed brick. Craig Callow came to my house, inspected the problem, recommended a solution, and provided an estimate. He recommended digging along the outside wall where the problem was occurring, replacing the footer drainage pipes, sealing the outside walls, and adding additional gravel for drainage. He was confident that this fix would solve my water problem. The initial project was performed in June 2009. I was very satisfied with his crew and the work that was performed. They completed the project in a timely, professional manner. The problem was, this expensive project did not fix the problem. There was initially a mild improvement, however, whenever a strong rain occurred, the same walls became wet. Two years later, I contacted Craig Callow, hoping that he would address the problem, based on the and quot;Lifetime Guaranteeand quot; he provided. He stated that his company had correctly performed the work that had been contracted, and that water must be getting in from somewhere else, such as through the brick or the siding. He stated that his company was not responsible for watter getting in from other places, even though he had assured me that his work would fix the problem. He recommended someone to inspect the siding, and no problems were identified. I requested a partial refund, because I was clearly going to have to invest in additional work to address the ongoing water problem. He refunded $175 so that I could have the basement walls painted to cover the water stains. His crew came and applied some additional sealant at a slightly higher level on the outside walls at no additional charge. At the current time, I continue to have water seeping in through my basement walls in the same places. Craig Callow displayed no concern that he recommended and performed an expensive project that did not fix the problem.
Response from Callow Basement Waterproofing
"Callow Company installed a waterproof system in accordance with specifications, and prevented water penetration through the basement block walls underground. After a period, I received a call that there was still "dampness & discoloration" on the inside block surfaces. I went out and checked our system, and all was working correctly. It was determined that the remaining dampness was due to defects in the siding/gutters/and flashing around the porch, and that water was seeping behind the siding, and above our waterproof materials. This issue was explained to the customer and recommendations were made to contact company's that address this type of (above ground) water penetration. The Lifetime Guarantee is still effectively protecting water penetration into the walls that "are underground". On occasion, a residual water problem can occur due to a source of entry other than underground, which is not covered by warranty. A good-faith refund was given to treat/seal the stained blocks. A testing of water within the walls showed the inner cores are dry, and the dampness the customer reported, is only on the inside surface of the blocks. Craig E. Callow - Owner"

We've had no problems. It was done in a day and a half and they thought it would take three days originally. They were very professional and we really liked them a lot.

They dug out the foundation and did outside waterproofing. They replaced all the footer drains and filled it with gravel and topped it with topsoil. They had done some work for my mother about 20 years ago, and they're still in business. That's why I called them. Their price was kind of high. I had them over today to get a quote for some other work.
