Mathis Moving & Storage

The move went very well. The movers were on time and carefully handled the furniture and boxes. The only negative was that their minimum charge was $400 for four hours. The move took just about two hours. I might have been able to find a less expensive mover if I had spent more time looking, but we were completely happy with Mathis Moving and Storage.

They showed up on time, we're very friendly and responsive. They worked very hard the entire time we were paying them, meaning they didn't take a bunch of breaks. They really hustled and gave us our money's worth. They took great care with our items treating them like their own. We had no damage of any kind. They were very careful to wrap our furniture and lay down mats on our floors. They did not hit a single wall. They cleaned up after they were done. A+ work in my opinion and I would highly recommend them.

It took a little longer than I thought but if not done right something could have gotten damaged. They were nice and I would hire them again.

Brandon Mathis came out promplty and emailed us the quote the same day. Mathis They were able to customize the quote for our needs, which was to only move the furniture of our house . On move day, they showed up with too large of a truck, but after making one call to their office, they sent 2 small trucks, as we originally discussed. They packed the truck in the rain, and delivered the next day , also in light rain. They protected the floors, and railings with mats and cardboard.The only damage was to an inexpensive floor lamp, which  was not working that well before we moved anyways. The movers did a good job and worked hard. I would definately hire them again.

We found Mathis Movers to be very professional.  As first time movers, we had a lot of questions, and Brandon Mathis was very patient and accommodating in answering the questions.  He and his associates returned calls promptly. 
On the day the furniture and boxes were delivered to our new home, the movers were very accommodating in taking the boxes to the areas we had designated for them.  Nothing was broken. 
Overall, I would highly recommend Mathis movers.

When we called Mathis Moving in Newark, Ohio to give us an estimate for packing and moving, Brandan came to the house and went over everything we wanted to move. He was courteous and professional and answered all our many questions. Our calls were answered promptly as we went through the process of choosing a moving company. The estimate was better than most and we did not feel pressured to make a decision.
Mathis sent 3 packers, Floyd, Mark and Steve. They arrived on time and started right away. They were willing to accommodate our requests while packing. We had quite a few things and it took 2 days to finish. We feel they did an excellent job.
The third day the truck was loaded. Initially they sent 4 people, Paul, Travis, Floyd and Steve. Before they started, they put down floor protection and even plywood in the yard to protect the lawn and not track grass into the house or the truck. Another crew , including Mark and Tommy, came later in the day to help move everything from the basement. Even Brandon stopped in to check on the progress! Since we have a piano, special care had to be taken to move it. Everything fit in the truck and they were down by around 4 o'clock. Mathis packed and loaded very carefully. They also cleaned everything up before they left.
Since we had not bought a house here in North Carolina, they unloaded all of our things into storage units. We cannot say enough good things about this. The crew who unloaded ( Darrell and Travis from Mathias plus two men, William and Jay from the local Allied company here in Raleigh) were excellent. They rewrapped and stacked furniture and appliances with our padding materials as their materials belonged on the truck. They all worked very hard to get things just right. They were finished by early afternoon.
It was a good experience. Everyone was friendly, courteous and professional from start to finish. Mathis can be justly proud of their company and their employees. We highly recommend them.

We have used Mathis in the past and was very pleased so we used them again for this move.  This move was going to be extensive since we sold our house before the next house was ready.  So, we had them take our household to their storage facility and then move those items to our new house.  We were very happy with them again.   The next week they went to two different storage units in two different towns picked up our items and moved them to the new house - this was a horrible job because our storage units were packed full.  They did a great job and no complaining about how unpleasant that job had to be.   I have recommended Mathis to others and if we ever have to move again, this is the company we will use.

FLOYD AND PAT WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND  CAREFUL WITH EVERYTHING,AND DID NOT WASTE TIME. WE WOULD DEFINITELY HIRE AGAIN.
