Haynes Carpets has been a family owned business in Newark since 1969. Dave Hickman installed all types of flooring for Mr. Chuck Haynes for 23 years before purchasing the store in 2001. Dave installed for almost all the flooring stores in Licking County. His success is due to his compassion for people & his quality workmanship that he expects from the subcontractors he uses now. His carpet installers & his hard surface installers all have at least 25 years experience. They all offer 1 year guarantee on their work. Our estimates for your projects, large or small, are free. However if you request a copy of our figures there will be a $35.00 charge that will be reimbursed if purchased from Haynes Carpets. If you are located outside of Licking County there may be a trip charge based on actual miles to the job site. You should expect extra charges for moving pricey electronic components, pianos, pool tables, very large antique pieces of furniture, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, commodes, & pedestal sinks. Every job site is unique. Please feel free to discuss all your concerns. We have discovered a wide variety of unforeseen problems in removing existing floors that may need repaired or replaced before your new flooring can be installed. Our installers are usually prepared/qualified to make these repairs. If not, we can give you the names of people who can. We can do everything from the smallest piece of vinyl flooring in your entry to 'room size' tiled showers. We restretch carpets improperly installed nearly everyday. We accept most major credit cards. We require a 50% deposit & the balance is due within 15 days of completion. We prefer that you think of us as a neighbor rather than just a storefront.
