In a nutshell anyone looking for honesty, technical expertise and competence, fairness, pleasant folks from the owner, to support staff and installers, along with competitive pricing on quality equipment made in the US backed by excellent warranties, should contact D.E. Miller, HVAC. After personal dealings over four decades with at least 5 or 6 HVAC contractors, I asked a sales rep with a large building materials supplier that sells HVAC equipment for a reference to a HVAC contractor in the Mahoning Valley. At the top of his list was D.E. Miller HVAC. In need of a service call regarding a central AC system that died last fall after being serviced twice over a relatively short period, I called D.E. Miller. Within an hour I got a call from Mr. Miller's pleasant and knowledgeable "inside" staff person who scheduled a prompt service appointment. Mr. Miller came, inspected the AC system, furnace, and duct work before explaining in ordinary language the many problems with all three. While providing a band-aid approach to getting the AC system working, he also provided a comprehensive quote on replacing the AC system, which was over 20 years old, and repairing the problems with the furnace and duct work. He recommended a well known AC brand with a ten year parts warranty, a high level of energy efficiency, and that is made in America. By late in the same day we had a written quote via email which contained the exact terms he presented orally. By the way, there was no service call charge. We accepted the offer, worked with his inside person on all the details, and within 10 days all was done. Every one's attention to detail in my experience was unparalleled. Everything that was not up to snuff or date was replaced. Mr. Miller's sheet metal work was the finest I've ever seen, to say nothing of being extremely efficient in terms of air flow and servicing. For example, changing the HVAC filter no longer involves manually removing an access panel, but rather pulling out a fabricated drawer that houses a properly sized air filter. All materials and service were as promised, and then some, the job site was spick-and-span when the job was complete, and we have central AC and heating systems that work better than we have ever experienced before, all at a fair, competitive price, with no hidden charges, by people who were pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and trustworthy.
