RIM TECHNOLOGIES

Rim Technologies process apparently involves blasting (sand blasting/bead blasting/other?) the existing finish off the wheel or area they are refinishing. In this case they blasted the face (front) of all wheels and part - but not all - of the inside/backside of all wheels. Then they refinished (paint and clear coat) only the front of the wheels  - which is what you can see when the wheels are mounted on the car.The refinished face of my wheels are mediocre at best (I have two used factory wheels - with a factory front and back finish - to compare to). The front finish (from Rim Technologies) has significant orange peel, there are contaminants in the finish and the overall color/finish is not uniform. That's the good part. The backside of the wheels were left unfinished - meaning it is the raw blasted aluminum left unprotected from the elements and ready for accelerated corrosion as soon as they are mounted on the car and driven.
To be clear - the factory finish on these wheels is 100% paint/clear coat on the inside/outside/all sides of the wheel. 
Upon receipt, and inspection, of the wheels I called and complained through the chain of command at Rim Technologies. I was shocked at the aggressive, combative, unrepentant responses I received.
The company representative, the technician who refinished the wheels and and the owner of the company all gave me nearly identical responses:
 - they did not quote refinishing the backside/inside ("barrel") of the wheel
 - they do not believe that refinishing/painting/protecting the backside (barrel) of a wheel has any beneficial effect.
 - they charge $150 per wheel extra to refinish the backside ("barrel") of a wheel.
 - unless the customer removes and cleans the the backside ("barrel") of each wheel every two weeks - there is no warranty on the refinishing of the backside ("barrel") of the wheel.
I received an especially enlightening response from the owner espousing that she had been in the wheel refinishing business for nine years, and that I had not ( very true), and that I should not question her expertise in her business just as she would not question my expertise in my business. I truly was speechless. Incredulous.
After long dissertations from three Rim Technologies employees/managers/owner, I refused to accept their rebuttals of the deal we had made. I was offered to have the insides of the wheels painted the factory color (at great pain and expense to Rim Technologies) for $150 each/$600 total. I refused. I was then offered to have the inside of the wheels painted black at no charge. I refused. After heated debate, I was offered to have the insides of the wheels painted to my request, and at no charge, but with no warranty/guarantee for the results or lifetime.  At this point, I again refused. 
I completely lost faith in what Rim Technologies is and do not believe that they will - or can - deliver the results they promote or verbalize. After going through their website in detail, I realized that Rim Technologies does not detail, explain, or request adequate input to delineate exactly what services they will perform for their charges. The best I could discern was that they could make your ugly wheel look pretty.
I decided to accept the loss for my poor judgement on this interaction with Rim Technologies and to search out another company with the capability and interest to properly fix the wheels for my vehicle. Please learn from my experience and do not fall victim to the same experience I had.
