Everything was done well at first. Very friendly and polite staff throughout the process. Unfortunately, when the work was 3/4 of the way done there was a torrential rain storm. The young man said he would return the next week, and would fix everything. A few days later I noted that someone had been there and the work was done sloppy and unsatisfactorily. I also noticed some of the sealant pulling away from the expansion joints. I contacted the company and a very nice man came out and told me that he would fix the problems. I also requested they level another area of the driveway at that time. I came home to find the second area done but was not level and the sealant looked terrible as if someone had stepped on it with dirty boots and it was all jiggly wiggly on the surface. The gentleman came out again and fixed the areas that had pulled away but not the unlevel second area. The gentlemen who came out was very nice and told me to let him know if I had any complaints. But the thing is It is very difficult for me to take phone calls at work and monitor when, what and how work gets done. So, I decided to cut my losses and leave it as is for now. I will have to call someone else to come out and fix it.
Response from HITE CONCRETE PUMPING SVC

"We are very sorry that Ms. [Member Name Removed] was not satisfied with the work that was performed for her. We went back to her home numerous times and we could not complete the work to her satisfaction. She did not have to pay for the additional work that was done."

The wing wall slowly sank over time. Initially the bricks that spanned between the house and the wall cracked, so I had a mason come and cut the wall free from the house and make a seam/joint between the two. I was hoping that the wall had settled all it was going to settle, but I was wrong. A large gap formed at the seams the mason had made.
This spring, I had another concrete leveling company out to try and level this wall, and they said that their 3 foot drill bit was not able to get through the footer on the wall. Over the summer, my dad had a 4 foot bit welded from an extension and a bit, and we wanted to find a concrete leveling company that would work with us to spot the holes for leveling, and then inject the slurry in the holes my dad would then drill with his extended drill bit. (A complicated thing to describe over the phone!)
I called Hite Concrete, and after I struggled through describing the situation, Bernie came out the next day to check out what exactly was happening and what Hite could do. He took pictures and measurements and was obviously trying to figure out what would be the best thing to do. He said he'd consult with Mr. Hite and call me the next day.
Bernie called me back and quoted me $250, whether the wall was raised or not. We agreed that Hite would come out Monday afternoon (5 days later) when my dad would be available to be to drill the holes once Hite told him where to drill.
Monday at 11AM, Jim called to let me know they would be getting to my house at 12, and they arrived promptly. My dad started trying to drill where they indicated, but he ran into problems with the bit/drill. Jim and his partner were patient, but they eventually said they'd try drilling with their drill on the opposite side of the wall from my dad, and their first attempt made it through the footer. They tried to inject the concrete, and it seemed to come out the underside of the footer, because the wall did not move, but the bush/land in front of the wall did. They tried another hole not too far from the first and again tried to move the wall. This time, to my delight, the wall started moving upward. They leveled the wall as much as possible, stopping because there was repair mortar blocking further movement. It is not perfect, but it is much, much improved and no one could have gotten the wall more level given the remnants of previous repair efforts blocking the way. Luckily the wall stayed pretty level front to back, as well, since my dad was never able to get through the footer on the opposite side of the wall.
Jim and his partner were helpful and conscientious, and they were obviously trying to make this work every step of the way. They tried to help my dad with his drill/bit, and they kept trying different things until something worked and the job was done. The quote said $250 whether the wall raised or not, and it also specified that my dad would drill the holes. When we were unable to drill through the footer as specified in the quote, Hite could have justifiably left and still gotten paid, but they followed through. I am a happy customer!

I got bids and they were very competitive. I just compared them to other people and I found some gaps in the stories that I got from the other people and everything seemed to check out pretty good with these guys.

I needed my 50 year old sidewalks and parts of the cement patio leveled and three cracks repaired. The owner came out and gave a fair estimate. I had two previous cement companies give much higher estimates due to the fact that they wanted to rip out almost everything and put in new cement sections. The Hite guy actually listened to my modest requests to just repair. Within a few days two men came out and we walked through what I wanted. I watched the men working and they always discussed the best way to handle each situation. After a while one of the men called me out and pointed out two cement sections that were not on the order but that were only mildly askew and repairing was an option. I agreed and was very appreciative that these additional cement leveling jobs (75.00 each) could also be completed. You can see that the cement leveling process takes some skill and experience to get to work just right. My only concern was that the substance used to fill the large cracks was a bright white plasticized goop that made the crack very noticeable. I called Mr. Hite on it and he came out and explained that the filler came like that and was an excellent waterproofing agent. OK........can't have everything. Overall, the sidewalks look like new and the back patio sections are all uniform. I'm a happy camper and will use Hite Cement again.

Mr. Richard Hite was the president. He had it written down. They came out and did it. My husband looked at it and did not think that they had raised it high enough because we could still see the sag. So, we called them. They came right back out and raised it to my husband's requirement. They did it on the next day. They came and fixed it. My husband was very pleased about how they responded so quickly. We were grateful. It was the same price and they did not charge us anymore than they had. They fixed it exactly the way that we wanted and followed through. They did great work. We chose them because we heard about them from one of our friends. It was a referral. We had called other places and were anticipating that it would cost more. They followed through and did a good job. We had to call them a few times. We called them. They came and did the estimate. We then had to call them a few times to arrange for them to come out and we were not sure if they were coming out. They started out very quickly.
