The young lady that scheduled the visit was exceptional. She was friendly and accommodating. Work was completed. The fellas were respectful, engaging, and highly knowledgeable. They took time to explain things in laymen terms and demonstrated how to operate each fireplace. For a beginner like me I was overjoyed to have the direction. They even offered to come back in the Fall to show me again how to operate the fireplaces. Exceptional service! I requested for them to put me on their list next May to complete more work.

Best company I have found in years!! I have nothing but great things to say. They have been really easy to communicate with. Rhonda is so friendly on the phone. She is honest about timing (they are busy just like anybody else) but got someone out here as soon as she possibly could. At first I was worried that they would promise work and then not deliver; I’ve been burned before. But Kalym texted when he was on his way and when I asked him to call me separately even though my husband was at home and he could have just talked to him, he took the time to call and give me a thorough explanation of what needed to be done and why and what he had done that day. I really appreciated that! Bottom line is I have more work to do on this 105 year old chimney and will definitely want to stay with Sooty Myke’s!!

Great. Woman who scheduled the appointment was very friendly and setting up the time was easy. Tech was also friendly and knowledgeable. Very thorough on his explanation of what we have, how to use it and what we might need.

Sooty Myke did a great job at our place. Caleb came to our house as scheduled and explained everything. He cleaned our chimney and took pictures of a place that required repair. After this was fixed, he showed follow-up pics as well. The cost was very reasonable as well. We will definitely use Sooty Myke in the future.

Myke was on time and extremely professional. He did a great job cleaning out chimney and didn't leave a mess which was a bonus. Prices was extremely reasonable. He is the only one I will call to clean our chimney in the future. I highly recommend his services.

Great! Top notch service from start to finish. We did not even know how to begin looking for a chimney sweeping service, but the nice people at Sooty Myke's made it very easy to schedule, even though it's a busy time of year. Our chimney sweep arrived promptly and cleaned very thoroughly without leaving a trace of evidence of his visit! Very professional technician. Would recommend!

Rhonda was very helpful in setting up the appointment and Myke did an excellent job of cleaning the fireplaces that have not been cared for in years. He also prompted made some repairs to ensure animals are not getting into the chimney. In addition provided details on repairs needed to ensure safety and structural integrity of the fireplaces. Thank you for being so prompt and thorough.

It went great. Lots of communication for scheduling and call ahead from tech (Anthony). Spent considerable time cleaning the chimney. Went on roof and inspected - replaced and reconfigured chimney caps to solve existing problem. Used protective mats on my floor and placed everything back as found.

Wanted to stucco the bricks and we asked about a clear sealer which they would check into. They did not have a clear sealer. The estimate cost $100, a bit high. The repair estimate was $850 minus the $100. We found a company that did have a clear sealer for the bricks.

Had to get the chimney cleaned from years of the top cap being blown off and broken. Don't think anything was cleaned since the house was built but I don't use the fireplace. Anyways, Myke is very polite and fair with pricing and service. His wife is the receptionist and is exceptionally nice to work with and flexible for appointments. Myke ended up cleaning out a bunch of dead animals which fell in when the cap was off and also cleaned out a bunch of other junk from the environment. He laid down a huge quilt before even opening the fireplace and made sure he had cleaning stuff and a bucket handy at all times to catch debris and critters. Very good cleanup job where you wouldn't even know someone was over. Overall my fireplace was not in bad shape, but Myke did make some recommendations for external repairs for the condo association repair people which helped to greatly reduce the rain drippings I would normally hear in the fireplace. Fantastic business and genuinely helps with getting best value for dollar.

Cleaning work on stove and chimney pipe was excellent and the price was fair. Very satisfied. Pipe repair not so much. Replacing one 90 degree elbow (I learned afterwards it cost $40 at Lowes where it was purchased) taking approximately 15 minutes to install, I was charged $170.00.To be fair, I agreed to the $170 after the initial inspection before any work was done and not knowing what parts or labor might be needed. Lesson learned - in hindsight I would have asked those two questions. With all of this said I would recommend them and may use them again myself for their cleaning service. And understanding upfront the details on the cost of any repairs that I might need.

Myke must have spent half of his work day at my home inspecting, cleaning, making repairs and teaching me about my fireplace. He was very friendly and respectful, and he took great care to keep his work area clean with large blankets. He had to make multiple trips out to his van, and he put his boots on and took them off again when he got back every time. He disassembled, cleaned and re-adjusted my damper that wasn't closing. He gave me some replacement options when I asked about them but told me replacement wasn't needed--I just needed some training on how to use it, since it's not a kind I had used before. That alone told me a lot about his integrity, since replacement dampers are expensive. He put in a fireback to protect the back wall and help heat from the fireplace radiate out, and he laid a brick to seal off my ash pit per my request after teaching me that they can be a fire hazard while burning. Overall, very thorough and friendly service, very reasonable pricing. I will definitely use him again and highly recommend him to others. Looking forward to finally enjoying my fireplace this winter!!! Thanks, Myke!
