CONSUMERS BEWARE! DO NOT DO any type of business with Matthew Barger of Barger’s Tree Services / Barger and Son Tree Services. He is very unprofessional, no integrity and the firewood is falsely advertised! The wood we got was not seasoned nor ready to burn. Its green wood and have to use a starter log to heat it up and moisture boiled, steamed and hissed out the ends for along with the excess creosote. Had moisture meter readings of 27% and higher with some maxing out the meter at 50%. You can find plenty of online reviews, previous consumer complaints filed with Ohio Attorney General as well as many court records in Clermont County, all proving a history of bad business and dishonest character.

Since filing my review the owner of the company called to set up a time to have someone come cut tree down. Apparently his son, whom I paid prior to service date, took the money. Polices charges were filed against his son, and I don't hold the business at fault. They are good people and are willing to take it down at their own expense.
