Jon’s Plumbing quoted me a price of $860! I decided not to go with Jon’s Plumbing. They still charged $80 for the estimate. Another plumbing company completed the job for $365. Jon’s Plumbing is way over priced!

Heffelfinger Plumbing & Heating did your plumbing and heating and then went out of business without finishing. We were the ones who came in and finished the job through the builder. We did what we could with what was there. I am not sure what problem you had a year later, but we certainly couldn't be responsible for plumbing work another contractor did. We do take responsibility for what we do and actually took on finishing something someone else did not do and now we are the bad guys? I guess this just goes to show that no good deed goes unpunished. I am sorry you had a subpar plumber start your project but that is in no way our fault."

Time was pushed back from originally 2-4 to 12-2 to 10:30. Inconvenient considering I had a toddler to watch. The man arrived, a five minute diagnosis to determine that I needed a new hot water heater. He had no idea what it would cost me to install a common size tank and went to his van for roughly 10-15 minutes. I relied on the reviews here and was shocked at a quote of nearly $1200 for a 40 gal tank. Ridiculous. No other options given. I asked what labor alone would be if I supplied the tank. They don't do that, he said. Plumber said they charge $125 for a $30 permit. He then said an expansion bladder was included in the price. I did not require an expansion bladder. I do not know how Jon's obtained an "A" rating because I read "rip off". The plumber had this attitude that I was playing some game and would pony up the amount for the tank. They charged me $110 to come to my house. I had my tank professionally installed with ANOTHER company for a total of $525.

If you received a better price then we are happy for you. You did tell us in your review you mailed that we were greedy chrisitans. I feel I should share with you how we arrive at our cost so you can make an "informed" decision if we are greedy. Below is a breakdown of what it costs us to install a water heater for you: Cost of water heater installed 1022.00 Material cost at 44% 449.68 Labor cost at 18% 183.96 (we don't pay our guys 10/hr) Overhead cost at 23% 235.06 Profit at 15% 153.30 (this only happens if everything above goes correctly) If you feel that our target profit margin is greedy, that is your right. To give us a bad review because you feel we are overcharging isn't really fair. I would kindly ask that you remove your review since it is not related to our workmanship."

If we had to describe Jon's in one word it would be INTEGRITY! Not only did they do a wonderful job with the job itself, but they did an amazing job helping us figure out the best way to accomplish what we wanted to end up with at the end of the project. We felt their goal was our satisfaction! We never felt as if we were trying to be sold something - we felt like their main concern was, is, customer service. This is something very rare these days and in our mind reason enough to do business with Jon and his crew!! A wonderful experience, with wonderful people who have wonderful work ethic, knowledge and customer service. We would highly recommend Jon's!!!

It didn't cost anything; it was still under warranty. They're very good. I would say the company is very professional, prompt, and very friendly. Actually, he fixed the old thermostat while he was here and then replaced it about a week later with a new one. He was very friendly; he put booties on over his shoes so he wouldn't get anything tracked up. He came back even though he had fixed the old thermostat; he came back with a new one.

Not well, young plumber just wanted to tear out floor rather than troubleshoot minor issues first. Solved problem on my own by taking out toilet and found bad union.

This was our first time using Jon's Plumbing. A previous plumber had suggested either just resealing the drain or replacing the entire drain from below. The option of replacing just part of the drain and fixing it from the top was never mentioned. The plumber from Jon's Plumbing understood the problem much better, based on his own inspection and the details we gave him. (We suspected the problem was the gasket because sealing the edge with silicone caulk had stopped the leak.) It turned out the putty under the gasket had dried and deteriorated. The original plan was just to replace the gasket, taken from a replacement drain body. But since gasket would have been difficult to clean up, he replaced the whole unit. This upped the estimate for the job by $20 but did not seem like an unreasonable step.. The plumber was also informative, efficient, and pleasant.

Intermittently my AC unit will sound like a jet engine winding down when it shuts off. And of course it didn't do it when the technician was here and he had no idea what it could be. He checked and cleaned what he could, but left without establishing the problem and fixing it. He arrived when scheduled and was personable & professional.

I am completely satisfied with the quality of work and the communication Jon's Plumbing provided. They sent out an estimator in just a matter of days and then Jon came out personally a few days later to review the project to make sure they had all the details.
Their quote came in reasonable and fair, not the lowest one I received. I was sold on Jon's Plumbing and paid a bit more because of the professionalism and true concern to do the job right. The two service people that did the job were very courteous and trustworthy and left the home neat and clean. They did the job over two days exactly as quoted and on time.
We are new to the area so we had only Angie's List to go by in finding a local contractor and was very successful. Jon's Plumbing are great people and a solid company to do business with.

He was right on time and very courteous. It took about an hour, not including the time he left to purchase a tool he needed and didn't have. He left the sink clean but the floor had something on it I couldn't sweep up, I had to mop it. This is one of those jobs that a cloth drop cloth would be perfect. Something I thought a bit strange, he left with my faucet that he removed without asking for it. I had planned on giving it to the Restore. I had to ask for a receipt and that was only itemized with 2 amounts, service fee $49.95 and installation $171.30. The good news is the faucet works and there are no leaks.

When I got up on March 4 and discovered I had no hot water. I stopped at Jon's Plumbing Heating in the afternoon to inquiry about them installing a new hot water tank. They were able to get me in the next day. The service tech was very nice, he cleaned up any mess and before you know it I had hot water again. I will definitely use them again.

The plumber was fantastic. He came in got the job done clean and quickly and was very professional. We did have a non related toilet leak a few days later but 15 minutes after calling the plumber the issue was solved. Will use again for sure.

I felt the quote was a bit steep, so I called another plumber for a comparative quote. Over the phone, after describing my situation and needs, the other plumber suggested that we consider a "diverter". It's a modified tub spout with an extra connection for a hand-held shower wand. I found a diverter at Lowe's for about $10 and got a shower wand for about $39. The rep from Jon's Plumbing (Jon Sells) had never mentioned this as an option, but I was able to meet my needs at 10% of his quote.

The water heater was leaking all over the floor. They worked me into the schedule the same day. The 2 workers removed the old water heater and installed an extremely efficient new gas water heater. They had to do some extra pipe work as the new water heater was a different size. They hauled the old one away. Cleaned up their work area very well. Were very courteous. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Punctual, polite and thorough. Had estimate for the upcoming work (gas pipe for cook stove, reconfigure some pipes and new water heater, etc.) within a couple days via email--no waiting for snail mail. A few days after they came out for the estimate I noticed a water leak at the base of my toilet (old, deteriorated wax seal) and asked if they could come out and replace it which they did in just a few days as there was no major rush. The young man who came out had over a decade of experience and was careful, neat and finished the job the way I would had I done it myself. I am now looking forward to completing my upcoming projects if they exhibit the same care with them as they did with the toilet repair.
