Description of Work: After suffering the second of two horrible straight-line wind storms (tornados without funnel clouds) our home was devastated on the roof, our fence (which surrounds 5 acres and a pond), tore out 6 mature trees all of which were at least three stories tall, blew a hole in our foundation riser under the house, tore out the side of our 2-story yard barn; Hammons Remodeling & Pool Maintenance was recommended by a friend and they came out the very next day I called them. I had called three other companies in our immediate area and none of them could even give me an estimate for at least a week to ten days because of all the damage in our area. But Hammons Remodeling was right there the next day. Mr. Hammons was professional, and very candid. He even recommended ways we could save money without buying new materials in some instances; where another company had told us we needed to tear out an entire wall in order to repair only about 2 feet. We needed a complete roof on our house, sunroom and garage as well. Hammons Remodeling presented options to us that were in all price ranges; not the most expensive as the other company had done. He even told us we could re-cycle some of our existing materials such as ridge vent and valley metal that was not damaged. Wanting to make sure we got the best deal and the best work, we did let two other companies give us estimates. Both of these companies were not only way over inflated, but they didn't want to budge from using the most expensive materials. Hammons Remodeling discussed with us at great length the differences between dimensional shingles, 3-tab shingles and metal roofing; and there was never any pressure to push us in the direction of the most expensive scenario as the two other companies had done. Mr. Hammons' work was amazing. He was early to the job everyday. He was personable, polite and extremely helpful. And the best part.....his crew cleaned up the entire area! This guy knows his business!
