Preferred Plumbing

Don was great and was very reasonably priced. I told him what some of the big name plumbing companies quoted me and he literally laughed out loud. Being a single female I feel like most contractors will charge outrageous amounts because they think I will pay whatever. Don is not like this he is an honest and trust worthy man. When I ever need any plumbing jobs in the future he will be the first guy I call.

I have used Don (the owner) many times in the past for plumbing at my family business, and at two different homes that I have owned.  It is a pleasure to put down in writing after this many years, what a pleasure it is to work with him.

Don knows his stuff.  And, can be very helpful in not just doing the job at hand, but helping you consider different options when doing "new" plumbing work.  Such was the case on this occasion.  Don put in a large utility sink for me.  He had to cut into an existing sewer stack and run lines to the sink location.  He also helped us think through where we were going to put the sink in this unfinished basement.

As usual, Don did an excellent job.  He also noticed a 'pressure' problem with the water in the house and tested a pressure tank on our old water heater.  We found it to be defective and Don replaced that as well.

Don is not the least expensive plumber around.  But, do not let his hourly rate fool you.  Another plumber may tell you he charges less per hour.  But, Don is the fastest plumber I have ever seen.  His efficiency and expertise pay off in the long run!

He is excellent. He is a great guy. He went above and beyond. He came after hours, he did stuff that you wouldn't expect someone to even offer he just is very helpful and said call anytime day or night. I would use him again.

We have used Don many times.  He is the only person we call for plumbing issues.  He knows what he's doing and he does the job right.  He charges a fair price for good work and he is very accommodating when it comes to scheduling.
This time he came to fix two toilets - one was leaking and the other wasn't flushing very well.  He fixed both and now they work great!

I just referred him yesterday to a friend.  Don is very trustworthy and extremely responsive.  When I call him, if he does not pick up his phone, he will call me within minutes.

Originally I had called James Payne from "One Handyman and A Van" from Angie's List to come out and swap out a couple of outlets and install some new switches and stuff in a bathroom remodel we are doing in our 110 year old Price Hill home.  It was a pretty complicated job, as it turns out, and James said the job was beyond his expertise and recommended Preferred Plumbing.  Thanks James!  It's nice to get to talk to an "Honest Joe!" He said Donny was awesome and that he could handle the scope of the job, So.....After checking out Preferred Plumbing here on Angie's List, I went ahead and called and talked to Don.  He said he would call me in the morning between 9 and 9:30 to set up a time to check out the job.  At 9:15 the call came in and he said he could come by at 11 to check out the job....  At 11 the van pulled up and they promptly got to work assessing the job.  There was A LOT wrong with what had been previously done, and Don said they could fix it all.  I asked when the soonest they could get to it would be and he said "start your shopping list, we'll get her done right now"!!!!  Sooooooooo great!  So I went and got all the stuff and they kicked butt getting everything installed and running in about five hours.  He also showed me a zillion tips and tricks and way to do stuff, and gave us great ideas for finishing up the bathroom floors, walls, and such.  I will have them back out to actually install the Tub/ sink/ toilet in a week once I get the walls and floor done.  They were REALLY REALLY awesome.  I'm So glad I joined Angie's list!!!!  I had been through a few crappy guys that were "friends of friends" and the work was always second rate, late, and just a bad experience.  This was totally different.  Preferred Plumbing will get all of my calls for Plumbing and Electric forever!!!
