Rainbow Motel Montpelier

We actually picked this motel out of a list on the internet. We initially chose it over the others due to the price range because we knew we were staying several nights.  The motel is fairly ordinary on the outside-but we were very pleasantly surprised when we opened the door. while small, the rooms offer a nice charming decor and set up and smell wonderful (a biggie when it comes to motels!). The room we had included a single queen sized bed with very comfortable pillows and enough blankets.  The bathroom, while small was a nice set up with a small walk in shower.  We had a microwave and decent small fridge in the room and the heating/air conditioning unit worked very well.  The curtains were darkening-the bathroom had a convenient pocket door to separate it from the rest of the room and there were built in shelves and a small closet and even a nightstand with working alarm.  We had a table to sit at and a dresser. The tv was large enough to see well-had good color and sound with a good cable channel selection and working remote.  The room was very well lit-something we had not had in previous lodgings on this trip. Local phone numbers and books along with a working phone and non smoking rooms also enhanced our stay. While this is a pet friendly motel-families with pets are generally put on the other side of the building to provide a sound barrier. Although we knew families had dogs-we never heard a bark.   Even the courtesy soaps and shampoo-while typically sized-had a wonderful scent to them-nice enough I wish I could find them for every day use at home! The complex is located close to good family dining and chain store shopping-adjacent to the Ohio Turnpike and a nice distance from many local attractions. Since we have family here we will plan our stays in this motel while visiting in the future!
