Upon follow up to fix it, he was completely non-responsive. Eventually he sent someone out that did a minimal fix. There were leaks, for which we had to wait weeks for them to be fixed.
I took him to small claims and won. 2 years later - he still owes me a significant amount of money. I had to take a lein out on his house. I have since switched companies for our maintenance. I was told when they came in what a lousy job was done initially.
Don't don't and again - don't even consider him!
I had the same experience.... great sales person - promised the world. He finally began the work about a day after it rained for a month straight. As you can imagine, the large equipment they use to lay the pipe was very heavy and left huge, horrible, pits in the yard (everywhere) due to the soggy ground. We were later told (by one of his other employees) that the man that actually laid the pipe was fired because he had no clue what he was doing. Of course, we had numerous leaks. Only one of them was responded to in a timely manner.
He continued to promise to come fix the yard. When I would follow up, he would come up with some excuse as to why they haven't been over yet. After at least 25 calls and 40 emails, he stopped answering me. What is funny is that his contract states that yards won't be left unslightly and will look exactly as they did prior ot the work. NOT SO.
Once he started to ignore me, I decided to take him to small claims court. After the headaches of court (gathering information - which I had PLENTY of, the time involved, etc.), I was awarded a decent amount for damages. Unfortunately, this did not cover the cost of paying someone else to fix the yard and also the errors he made in the actual irrigation. The best part - he still hasn't paid me. I had to put a lein on his home. I gave him plenty of notice before I did this. Really, I gave him plenty of notice before I took any action. He knew full well I would be taking him to court - he stilll ignored me.
He contacted me once to see if I wanted him to winterize the system. I asked him when he'd pay me. He promptly told me I would no longer be under warranty if he did not winterize. This was fine because the person that came in to fix the yard fully inspected, fixed, and is warrantying the system himself - now that is customer service.
All in all - don't trust him, don't listen do him, don't even call him. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER.
