We were extremely impressed when we met Doug to do the initial evaluation. It is very obvious that he takes a lot of passion and pride in transforming people's home with hardwood floors. We were very impressed with how quickly and efficiently his crews did the work. The entire process took about 1.5 weeks. The floors look absolutely beautiful and we are so pleased with how they turned out. If you are looking to install the traditional site finished hardwood floors I would highly recommend Doug and All About Hardwood.

It took some phone relays to get with Doug after we had the estimate. I found that he was much more accessible via email than phone. Ultimately, things went smoothly and as described. All About Hardwood crews were excellent, professional and friendly. Work was expeditious and of the highest quality. Our floors look tremendous. we had satin finish over gunstock stain that we replaced. One problem was that the registers would not fit into the openings after they were stained and finished. They had expanded and were too big. Doug had a technician there promptly and corrected these registers.

We were referred by our neighbor who had their floors redone. We were totally pleased with the quote, timeline and overall product! The guys who did the work were personable and had amazing communication with us. They were punctual and meticulous when it came to cleaning up at the end of a job. We will be hiring them again!

Okay. We had a total house make over. All the other companies were excellent, fast service easy to work with, we had gotten used to excellent service from all the providers. The floors were the last thing to do for our big move in date of 8/26/16. All About Hardwood showed up a bit late and they were all kids (maybe 18 years old but looked much younger). I was reluctant to leave my home in the hands of children but thought the owner would be on site at some point...nope. When I returned home our brand new Krauss Pax Zero sink had brown stuff in it and there is still dots of it. All About Hardwood (owner) said they didn't do it and blamed it on the backsplash guy, our backsplash is pure white, but we said just use the sink downstairs if you need to no problem. They started on Monday Aug 1, 2016 and the last time I talked to any of them was about the sink stains on day three of the job. They were gone and they considered the job finished, but we still had a ton of questions, they never asked how we liked the job, they never walked through with us and on day one when I asked one of the kids how to care for the floors, he said I would get a paper with instructions...we never did get that. Over a month later I got an emailed invoice saying to contact their office to make arrangements for payment. I found that offensive seeing as the job was incomplete. Finally after several stories of backsplash and thresholds, (a month later). I finally figured out that the kid from the very beginning never told the owner about the thresholds and adding that charge onto our bill. The owner wanted payment before doing the thresholds. We mailed their payment certified mail and we still have no thresholds and after several days still no contact with the company. I think our floors look okay, but others say the cracks and creaks should have been addressed. We also wanted the sides of our stairs done but was told it would be too time consuming and hard to turn the machine...unbelievable, I assumed that. like the other companies we dealt with. changes could be added and charges added on to our bill.no big deal, I assumed it was all about making the customer happy. Maybe our job wasn't big enough, or maybe the owner is/was too busy, I don't want to think bad thoughts but, I cannot help it when I know that from the painting, to doors, windows, new bathroom, tile, window treatments, plumbing and electrical ALL others did excellent, but All About Hardwood was a negative in an overall, great home makeover experience!

"I love my job, and I love my customers! After over 30 years in this business, it's unfortunate that every once in a great while I run across someone who has a bad experience, for no apparent reason. I did contract with the homeowner to refinish the first floor, second floor and step treads to the 2nd floor. It was scheduled by me. We showed up on day one as scheduled, and completed all the work outlined in my proposal on time and to the homeowners satisfaction. We never used or touched the kitchen sink, as we did not work in the kitchen at all. However there was a tile guy doing the backsplash while my finishers were there, who obviously needs water to do his job while we avoid any contact with water and wood. We leave an invoice and floor care information sheet on every job we do. It was not until after 30 days and no contact form the homeowner that I emailed a follow up invoice out of courtesy that she sent me an inflammatory email claiming that the job was not completed and that they would pay after we finished it. It was over 35 days since we had been there, and I had not received one email or phone call with any concerns at all. And we had completed everything as contracted. I was surprised to see her review, and embarrassed for her that she would refer to my employees as children. Tommy and Brandon are 25 and 31 respectively, happily married and homeowners themselves. They are excellent employees and their work is reflected throughout photos on my website and facebook pages. I wonder what her review would have looked like had she gotten a bad job or actually had a legitimate reason to complain......"

Prompt response to request. First coat of finish was not to my expectations. Promptly returned and put a higher gloss on floors. Everyone was professional and courteous, and did a great job preparing the area for the work so that there was minimal dust in unaffected parts of the house.

They answered and or returned our calls promptly. They showed up when they said they would and told us exactly what the process to refinish our floors would entail. Apparently there is a lot of dust and odor from t he stain and sealant. They had to come back three times to strip, stain, seal and do a second coat and they showed up each time when they said they would. Did what they said they would do and were prompt and courteous throughout.

We went on vacation and left the house to them. When we returned, it was done with minimum mess. (You do need to clean off walls, everything in the room due to dust, but it wasn't excessive). They came out ahead of time to carefully look at the job. They personally mixed up a stain repeatedly until we approved the color. They used a very hard commercial urethane because of the wear our dogs give the floors (unavailable from other refinishers). The patch in the floor was invisible and I love the new wood vents. I"m only sorry I didn't replace all of them. Their price was very competitive and the resulting finish was gorgeous. I highly recommend them for any work involving hardwood floors.

The skilled crew showed up right on time with the right materials and installed the floor in a very professional and workmanlike manner. No corners were cut and they finished in almost no time.
The price was reasonable and the floor is beautiful.
