MONTECALVO ELECTRIC INC

Called Montecalvo to see if they service our area (over 20 miles away) because I've had great experiences with them in the past. The tech was very prompt to show up and diagnosed a large and potentially expensive problem with the underground line. The tech proposed several solutions which involved either busting up the driveway, the patio, or digging a long path around the perimeter or the patio. We declined to have the work done right then and there and asked for an estimate to be produced. He billed us $165.00 and said to call the office to get the estimate the next day. I called the next day and was told curtly that the estimate was not ready yet and that they would contact us. They never did. We felt that the $165.00 diagnostic charge was egregious. Another electric company diagnosed the same problem (we lost faith that the tech was correct), but had much simpler and less destructive remedies.
