If our agent would have read the appraisal when it was emailed she would have been able to let me know the numbers that I was looking at were not the actual appraisal. That appraisal was very low as it turned out. I know for a fact we would have had the house reappraised by someone else after it was cleaned up, cleared out and ready to sell. She asked me again when the house was finally ready for sale what the appraisal stated and once again I stated " I think this amount" I assumed she had read the appraisal months before and that is why she went by my assumption. She lowered the price without both our signatures (against the law) and let me feel the blame when the true appraisal was found. This was an awful experience. These two walked away with full commission and she was dishonest to save face!!!
Description of Work: Husband and wife team so beware as we did not know that until the house was to be listed.. This was an estate sale and we needed an agent to guide us through this. Not only did the home get listed too high (agent didn't bother to open and read email I sent with the appraisal on it and requested she please do this as I was not certain I had the right amount) but agent was extremely rude to a young couple who ended up buying the home. I told the couples mother (a friend) when she made me aware of this to please have her son and his wife stop by the home the following sunday. Explained agents husband was hosting an open house and his wife (our agent) would not be there. They did this and unbeknownst to us until the couple made a bid, became their agent. So this couple got full commission! She was our agent and husband theirs but were both our agents too I plan after much thought and prayer to report them to the Realtor Board. Sadly this all happened after the loss of my father and this home had been our home for over 55 years.
