Mike did a excellent job. He was so kind to explain what we needed done and ways to improve our lighting. He was thoughtful of our needs. Rarely do you find a work of this quality. This was the 2nd time I had Mike out. He had all the supplies necessary for the job, was on time, worked hard and got finished in the time he estimated. He charged me the same as the original estimate he had given me (there were no unexpected surprises with this job). I have an oversize garage and Mike took out the numerous old lights and fixtures and replaced with 3 LED lights. A much cleaner look and it is as bright as a sunny day inside my garage! I am so very pleased and would have him out again for future work!

I e-mailed Mike on Angie's list telling him my problem, only half the house had working electric and the outages were not sequential from one end to the other (some outlets and lights worked some didn't). Checked the breaker box and the switches appeared to all be on, so it didn't look like anything was tripped. Mike worked me into an already busy day for him because he was concerned about my issue and safety of the home (could be melted wire, arcing issue, was hard to say what was creating the problem). He spent an hour doing all his checks and balances and come to find out my sump pump had shorted out and it did trip 2 breakers in my box but the switches did not go all the way over to the off position, sometimes they can go to the middle and have sort of a flimsy feel, which also can mean a tripped breaker. Mike was very patient with me and explained what happened and showed me some things I can do to troubleshoot myself, within reason of course. Mike knows his craft well and is willing to take the extra time to educate you on the issues at hand. I was so impressed I'm having him back in 2 weeks to do a bigger job for me.

Great! Mike came and fixed what I couldn't find--a light switch to make my new dishwasher work. No charge and didn't even make fun of my ineptness!! Called and he was here in a couple hours. I had called another and he couldn't make it until next week. I'm a happy customer

Mike did an incredible job, not only with the work you get to see, but all the behind the scenes work that goes with it. He had to schedule between me and Duke and permits and such and nothing broke down in that process at all. He put my mind at ease within a few texts he send showing the work he had just completed, keeping me constantly in the loop! I will continually use him for any and all electrical work we need done as well as refer him to anyone needing that kind of work! Professional, courteous, informational and an all around good person is VERY hard to find in tradesmen these days, but he has it all in spades. Can't recommend him enough.

Michael Poirier did everything I would expect a professional electrician to do and he was very thorough as well as willing to explain everything that he was inspecting and everything that he did/found.  He not only made sure that the requested work was performed but he also inspected everything on the circuits he worked on up to the breaker box to ensure that we were up to current standards and safe.  He is also very personable and enjoyable person to talk with.  My wife and I will definitely be using him in the future when we need further electrical work performed.

Mike showed up on time and was able to diagnose the issue quickly.  He put in extra time to ensure it was done correctly, working well pass sunset outside in the cold.
I'm very impressed with his knowledge, skills, and professionalism.  Not only will I use Mike again in the future, but would highly recommend him in the future to anyone in the need of electrical work.

Everything went very well - Mike came at the times we agreed on, performed the work as requested, and came up with creative alternatives for us to consider. He charged a fair price and did quality work. He cleaned everything up when finished and the work was done with obvious pride in doing a good job.

He performed the work as needed and was very helpful at explaining the entire process. He obtained the appropriate permits as required, and worked with Duke Energy to ensure that the 200AMP service was upgraded on time.

They are very good, on time, they did what they are going to do and always make sure I am aware on what they are going to do.

We had an earlier appointment with Mr Poirier to discuss the work to be done and receive an estimate. Then a date was scheduled to complete the work. Mr Poirier arrived at the scheduled time and completed the work in a timely manner. He left the work area clean and did a great job.

Mike was extremely neat, punctual, and most importantly qualified. My husband and I were so impressed with Mike's skills that we asked him to install a light where we had been told that it would be almost impossible to do. The wiring for the ovens had to be snaked through a finished basement ceiling which he accomplished effortlessly. The areas that needed to be cut to access the wire were capped off in inconspicuous places (garage closet) leaving no visual "mess". He was thorough and meticulous in every facet of the job. We can't say enough good things about him and will definitely use him again!

It went great! Mike was referred to me by an electrician I had used in the past but is no longer working in the trade. Mike called me as the referral said he would. I needed an estimate for all the electrical work that needed to be done before the purchase of my house was complete. We agreed that Mike would come on a certain evening to provide the estimate. Mike arrived to do the estimate after working more than a full day on another job. He provided a detailed estimate including parts and labor to correct every problem noted in my whole house inspection report. When it was time to do the work Mike showed up on time and with all supplies needed for the job. Some of the problems did not take as long to correct as Mike originally estimated and he charged me only the cost of actually doing the work, not what was estimated. Mike did much more work than originally planned, at my request. Mike does a great job - very neat in his work. It is obvious that Mike takes pride in doing a great job.
