Fantastic !!! I have a textured ceiling and where the repair was needed was an angular feature over my stairs. He brought in the proper equipment and cleaned up ( even vacuuming ) after he was done. He returned a few times to make sure the texturing was just right. Today I can not tell the patch job from the original ceiling. He quoted a price and that is what I paid. Well worth it too.

Showed up on time for estimate - dressed and acted very professionally. Seemed to be a lifelong plaster guy. He spoke of using good original materials, not modern cheap/easy materials. Other plaster contractors gave the same story about only really the top lime coating of the plaster needing to be replaced, but others still wanted to cut out that area and start from the lathe which was over $500. Mark said that wasn't necessary and he could chip out just the bubbled top lime coat. He quoted $280 and a single visit to complete the job. He did assure me that he warrantied his work
Mark arrived on time. Again dressed and acting professionally. He laid out drop cloths from the door through to the work area. He put up plastic from floor to ceiling to create a cocoon around the work area to make sure he left no mess. I was a little doubtful about him just being able to chip out the top coat as he had said, but I watched him work and he did just what he said he could. In areas that weren't bubbling, he just treated with water/bleach mixture. The area generally looked smooth and ready for priming and painting when he was done. There were still some faint yellowed spots, but he assured me they will cover with primer. We'll know in a few weeks when we paint. In the end, it took him less time than he thought and he only charged me $220 instead of the $280 he had estimated, which was a nice touch.

I have used him for years and it is a local company. He is really good. He replastered and you really can’t tell that it has been patched once its painted. He is really neat.

The home warranty company sent out someone to do a drywall repair rough-in on our plaster wall, we were left with something that looked like a 10 year old had done it. I contacted Mark via a service company but entered the my contact number wrong. Mark took the imitative and stopped by late Saturday morning since he wasn't able to contact me via phone. He looked at the bad repair job and assured us he could correct the problems. He scheduled us for the next Saturday so I wouldn’t have to take off work. We experienced a couple delays that were beyond Mark's control, but Mark contacted me promptly and in person when these issues cropped up and worked with my schedule to get the job done. Plaster is a several step process and Mark was back to our home 3 times to complete the job, always on time and left my home clean after each visit. When he finished, the plaster was a smooth as glass!! He took the time to dry fit the woodwork back into the place and advised me on how to get the perfect fit when we did it. Plaster is dying art but Mark Grimes knows his trade. I plan to use him whenever we need to repair walls in our new home.

I am very happy with the work done. Mark is an artist and puts a lot of thought into the character and integrity of the structure. Even though my job was functional and not decorative, Mark took the time to explain several options, including paint colors for the house. This job took him several days over a course of ten days or so to complete, but his courtesy and craftmanship were execellent. On the smaller jobs I've had Mark do he was here within days and very prompt.
