"Hi [Member Name Removed], As I explained on the phone today, I am very sorry for the miscommunication and have spoken to our team about clarifying that the labor warranty is not a maintenance agreement in the future. Much like an extended warranty on a car does not cover free oil changes, the labor warranty that we offer as an option, does not cover annual maintenance. You and I also discussed that we do not require that the customer maintain the system annually to have our extended labor coverage, but highly recommend annual maintenance for the manufacturer's coverage on part replacements. The $223 was an optional maintenance agreement, at a discount, that would cover your annual visits as well as your humidifier cleaning and humidifier pad change. It is an option and customers can choose to just call in for maintenance as they need it if they don't have a maintenance agreement with us. As a very proud, 3rd generation, family owned and operated company, I can assure you that no one lied to you, or intentionally led you to believe that the labor warranty was also maintenance. We've offered this extended labor warrnaty for several years and have not ran into this issue before. We will make sure to clarify in the future so we don't run into it again. We offer a 100% guarantee and wish to resolve the miscommunication issue and earn a higher review grade from you. Your first year's maintenance was already free and you scheduled your furnace & humidifier maintenance with me while on the phone. You also have a free cooling check to be used this Spring. I can offer you another free year, one spring and one fall visit. If you wish, we can also refund the $399 labor warranty, however I don't recommend that as repairs can be expensive and this coverage has proven to be most beneficial to our customers over the years. I realize you were upset thinking that we did something underhanded or intential, please know that we most certainly did not intend to mislead you. We pride ourselves on our reputation and it makes no sense to intentionally do something in today's world of social media, that will upset a customer.
