Quoting process was pleasant, thorough and matched our requests. Did not include additional upgrades and ancillary work in quote. However,were amenable to Change orders and quot;on-the-spotand quot;. Presentation was great with lots of pictures of areas to be rehabbed. No sales pressure but very professional.
Crew was friendly and eager to explain any questions I had and Dwayne was on the job for the bulk of the work.
An error was made in materials ordering which along with lots of rain delayed completion but Accurate Carpentry made it and quot;all rightand quot; and kept me informed. I had made a check list of questions concerning errors, missed work, etc and when I called Kindra - found out Dwayne was already at my home inspecting and correcting problems. He made short work of any problems we had and corrected all.
Due to Accurate Carpentry's listing with the Guild Quality organization and good reviews on Angie's - I felt comfortable hiring them and was not disappointed. They do good work!

Due to defective siding originally installed on my home, I was in the market to have the entire exterior resided. I decided on Hardie Board. After a terrible experience with my first contractor, I called the James Hardie Company to find their recommended contractor in my area. They recommended Accurate Carpentry out of Middletown. I called Kindra Hacker, the co-owner of AC and scheduled an appointment to come out and have my house measured. She arrived and began by first asking exactly what I wanted to have done. Then she and I walked around the house. She took pictures and continued to ask every conceivable question regarding my wants and needs, including things I hadn't thought of. Roughly a week later she returned to my home with a bound proposal. The proposal inlcuded photos of every part of my house with detailed descriptions of what we had discussed. I was more than impressed with the professional presentation. Though the price was more than I anticpated, I believed it would be a positive investment in my home. AC had another home already in progress so there was a delay in the start of the construction. Dwayne Hacker, the other co-owner and his crew arrived roughly 60 days later. They proceeded to removed every piece of siding from the exterior of my home. As I had expected, there where a number of damaged areas under the old siding, including a few unexpected surprises. Dwayne and his crew; Robert, Adam and Matt, replaced the wood around my chimney, corrected the slant of an and quot;eyebrowand quot; which had caused a problem with my gutters and found and corrected an insulation issue around all of my windows. Each day, the crew arrived on time and ready to work. At the end of each day, Dwayne would check the days work to insure there were no issues needing to be addressed. They then cleaned up my yard, stored their ladders and other equipment and left my yard looking the best it could while under major construction. Dwayne and his crew worked threw wind and cold and only stopped if it rained or snowed so that the siding would not be installed over the wet House Wrap. In all, AC removed all siding, wraped the house in Hardie House Wrap, repaired damaged areas previously noted, replaced soffits, eyebrows, all trim, sturdi mounts around all lights, spickets and electrical outlets, lap siding was installed and shake siding iinstalled in the gables. When completed, they re-inspected every part of the house to make sure everything had been done correctly. My house looks amazing! I can not say enough about how impressed I was with this company. Accourate Carpentry is dedicated to doing the job righ the first time. Their work ethic as well as their manners and respect for my property, was a refreshing and greatly appreciated. I would, and do recommend them to anyone wanting the job done right the first time.

Kindra provided quick, on site estimates. She was very easily accessible via phone and email. She scheduled quickly and appropriately. She kept us updated on a scheduling change due to the extremely wet springtime that pushed the schedule back. They were willing to do and quot;extraand quot; add on work with changing out our porch posts and provided an estimate on site and completed wonderfully. Dwane and the on-site crew were extremely professional and courteous. They provided their own port-a-jon, dumpster, and cleaned up after themselves. The work was performed to high standards and per the requirements of HardiBoard. they discovered that the underlayment was rotted and called us prior to performing additional work to let us know the cost. The work was completed in a quick and timely manner, and their construction mess was removed also very timely. I would highly recommend Dwane and Kindra for any HardiBoard siding installation.

They did a great job and were very resonably priced. They were on time, thorough and performed a good cleanup.

When the two layers of siding were removed the team found that we had structural damage. Our house was built in the 1830's and is post and beam construction. The sill and second floor support beam had been damaged by water and insects and needed to be replaced! Even though Dwayne, Robert and David had never worked on post and beam construction they accepted the challenge and figured out how to replace the two pieces without having the house fall down!
The work they did was great. The insulation was replaced, plywood panels were installed and Hardiewrap was placed over everything. When the work was completed everything was cleaned up. (I asked Dwayne if they could clean they whole yard while they were here!)
The Hardieboard siding is beautiful, the house looks 100% better. The cost was in line with the level of work that they had to do.
I am saving up to have them work on the front of the house!

They installed a specialty siding called Hardy Board siding. We have a lot of companies do work and they did what they said they were going to. They were very accurate and precise with their work. From start to finish they said what they were going to do and did it. Their quality was excellent.
