ROCK BOTTOM FARMS

This farm is in the midst of beautiful rolling hills in Amish country. It has the hugest selection of daylilies ever created, and catalogs are available that lovingly document each type by color, size, fragrance, bloom time, bloom length, and re-blooming capacity. From June to July, there are many varieties of blueberries that you can pick. Unlike most places, they tell people specifically where to pick the best berries. As a result, the bushes are always busting with ripe, ready-to-pick fruit. It's also an unusual opportunity to see Amish workers tooling around on golf carts with walkie-talkies on their hips. It's become a regular pilgrimage for us, and a must-see place for summer visitors, along with the horse-and-buggy stalls at the nearby Wal-Mart, behind the CVS, and the Healthy Deposits health food store.
