The preparation was done on a Monday. On Friday, Mr. Rose installed the asphalt. His crew was on time, efficient, and worked very diligently to complete the work on the same day. Part of the instructions are you cannot drive on the asphalt for a couple days. It has to set properly.

Like most people, I have had my issues with contractors, but I have to say my experience from beginning to end was great. When I received the estimate they told me it may be a few weeks before they could start, but they called a week later and said they were ready to go. They stuck to their estimate 100% and as I mentioned the workmanship was exceptional. All the guys on the crew were nice too and looked like they really took pride in what they were doing. I would (will) use L A Rose again in the future and have recommended them to anyone who asks about my driveway.

We hired this company to pave a residential driveway. Initially they did a good job but problems occurred when we called them back to do some repair work. They gave us a quote and we agreed to have them do the work. The work that was done appeared to be much less than what was quoted and when we called to inquire about it the woman on the phone (Mrs. Rose) was very rude and argumentative about it. She yelled and carried on like we have never seen before. She was very unprofessional, I asked to speak with Jim Rose, he came to the phone and we quickly resolved the situation. Later we received a letter form them stating the we can "go to hell." I have never dealt with a company like this before, I would never recommend this company to anyone. I would rather pay more money to have some level of professionalism. We ended up having to call the BBB to get involved to resolve the matter. The BBB was not able to get Mrs. Rose to resolve it either. We paid them the money they asked for but we will never hire them or refer them to anyone again.

This company was very accommodating since we needed this project to be done in two stages. They were timely, professional, cleaned up after themselves, and did a very good job. I would highly recommend them based on our experience.
