"Mr. [Member Name Removed], We certainly apologize that you felt our service did not meet your expectations. We strive to ensure 100% customer satisfaction with every opportunity. Looking back through your file from 2015, I am wondering if I am missing some information and would love to discuss further if you feel as though we did something that was unfair? Your initial call to our office on 6/3/15 indicated that there were missing shingles (approximately 20) on the roof and no leaks were reported. On 6/8/15 our crews were dispatched and made the shingle repairs per your request and the case was closed and billed per the electronic document that was signed on 6/3. On 7/1/205 you contacted on our office again and indicated that a leak had developed in the middle bedroom located on the second floor of the home. Our office indicated we would dispatch a crew and investigate the situation and make necessary repairs. We advised that if the leak was related to the repairs completed the previous month there would be no charge, however, if it was something else then there would be another charge for the return visit. Upon our crews arrival on 7/2/15, the leak observed was identified as a leak coming from a rotten window sill and not from the areas previously repaired. Our project leader attempted to seal the window frame to temporarily stop the leak and advised that further repairs were recommended. Upon receipt of our invoice for this service call, you advised that you felt as though you should not be billed and would contact another window company for the future repairs. As of 9/16 we have closed your case still without payment. Again, please feel free to call us at 440-974-6810 and I will be happy to discuss this matter further."

That said, I can certainly understand your frustration based on the information you have detailed above. Additional cost pertaining to covered areas can be difficult to budget for especially when the concerns are possibly structural and not just surface level, such as plywood decking. The additional work at the door threshold was recommended after further collaboration from members of both our management team and supervisors within the production department. The change was suggested as a part of the necessary repair to ensure that the issues would not come back in the future. In fairness, the quote was revised to include this and the price was updated prior to a final agreement. In any event, I am sincerely sorry that your experience with Runyon & Sons did not meet your expectations (or ours for that matter). We truly appreciate the feedback and your time. The roof on our home was only 17 years old and after five occurrences of water and ice backup damage I decided to get the roof on the house and garage replaced properly. I received 3 estimates and chose Runyon and Son Roofing to do the job. The residential estimator was very thorough and spent well over an hour of his time with me and my wife pointing out all the problem areas that were causing the damage that we have had in the past. The estimator invited my wife and I to stop out and tour the Runyon and Sons facility to see a demonstration of how job would be performed and compare the materials that would be used versus the competitors.
The tour of the facility was extremely beneficial and sold us on selecting Runyon and Sons to do the job. After we agreed to sign a contract another supervisor stopped by and did a second inspection of our roofs to make sure everything measured properly and nothing was overlooked by the estimator. This also was very impressive since the things that were pointed out to us that were causing our problems were never mentioned by the other companies. Talk about details and quality. Obviously the previous roof job was not done properly by company whom the previous homeowner hired. The job entailed a complete tear off and leak barrier etc. The crew arrived on time every day and the job took a total of three and half days. The quality of the work and clean up was above what I expected. The price was more then I expected, but still competitive and the quality of the work and materials was well worth it. The old adage of " you get what you pay for" could not be more true.
After the job was completed a third repair supervisor stopped by to inspect the work that was performed by the installers, approximately two weeks later to make sure everything was done properly and to our satisfaction before the final balance was paid.
I would highly recommend Runyon and Sons to my closest friends and relatives and you cannot give a more stronger endorsement than that
