Residential Security Systems

Great company. Easy to work with. I wasn't sure if the existing alarm system was still functional since it was quite old and had not been used in decades. They tested the old lines and found everything worked just fine, which save much time and money. They added motion sensors and "modern" keypads then made sure everything was working.

Honest, non pushy, knew product

We are extremely happy we went with RSS- The guys that came to install the system were very knowledgeable and did a great job explaining the different options. They definitely seem to have the newest high-tech systems. The controls are very easy to use and price for the installation and monthly monitoring were comparable or better than the other companies. We feel very safe!

Everything went great. They were very efficient and I would recommend them to others.

We've been customers of Residential Security since 1995. On the recommendation of a friend, we had them install a security system in my Mother's house just after my father passed away. Bob Rhodes (an owner) came over himself at the time did the full install and walked my mom and I through how to use it. His best advice (which I've obviously never forgotten) was :Use this system all the time ... especially when you're home. The most valuable thing in this house is YOU.
At the time, my mother had never lived alone. I'd say the peace of mind alone was worth it, but so was the positive responses and the friendliness of the staff.
So, when Mom moved in with us recently, we decided it was time for us to install a system at our house. Bob and his son came over, walked through the house and made a series of recommendations. Never a hard sell, but clearly willing to share their many years of expertise with us about what they thought was needed based on our situation. After talking about it, we actually decided to add a bit more to what they suggested (adding in a few more windows).
Once set up, this system is a bit different than what mom had. The installers were quite patient with my 85 year old mom. And in fact, they came back out to make a few adjustments and then show my husband and I how to use the system as well.
I was suspicious to call one of the national firms since you never know the people behind them. This is a family owned company; we've had their help through false alarms and through a few alarms where the police were called because of doors / windows being opened. Good news was, the alarm seemed to scare them off since the police were there quickly and no one was found.
I'd highly recommend Rhodes Residential Security.

I greatly appreciate their promptness in taking care of the manor, and they were very pleasant to work with. Once the fellow got here he was very nice and knowledgable and got it taken care of in short order. I would highly recommend this company.

Work was scheduled for Friday, but due to a cancellation, technician came a day earlier. Work was done quickly, efficiently and neatly. My husband is a stickler for neatness and inspected the wiring job, he was impressed. Installer arrived at around 9:30 am and was done by 2:30 pm. We were very, very pleased with the quality and efficiency of the work.
