Pella Windows & Doors

I first went into the Pella showroom in early December. My house had settled and made my old door hard to open/close, along with air gaps. The frame was in bad shape since the screen door had pulled out a couple of times since it was not in align due to the settling. Chris came out and gave me an estimate within a few days. The price was a bit higher than I'd have liked, but I was able to obtain 6 months/no interest financing. Unfortunately, the first installation date available was 6 weeks in the future (January). I asked about installing in bad weather and was assured that it could be done in the cold of winter. The company was very professional when it came to arranging for the installation, sending me the photo and name of an installer. Once the installation day finally came, the original installation crew cancelled (it was the coldest day of the year) after I'd taken the day off of work to accomodate it. A second installation crew was located and came out. Jason and his co-worker did a wonderful job installing the door. I was more-than-happy to offer them hot coffee and as much time as they needed to warm up in the house in that weather!!!!! Later that day, when leaving the house, I found an issue. The door knob was too close to the screen door latch and I scrapped the skin off of my knuckles trying to open the door. A few days later, I contacted Chris about it (sending him a photo to show him the issue) and proposed that we install a lever handle as a "simple fix". It took Chris a few days to locate the correct handle and he came out on a weekend to replace it. The second handle is a good solution and I'm happy with my door.
