MENTOR INSTALLED SERVICES

When the service tech came out to our house he informed our husband of the time he would arrive - he was an hour late. Phone calls have also gone unreturned. We both expected these issues to be resolved by over a month ago at the latest.

It went very well, I thought they did a nice job. They were done in a couple of hours and everything was in satisfactory! They worked efficiently and professionally. They cleaned up after themselves

They were very professional and quick with the quote. However we have not decided as of yet if we will go with a deck or patio.

Everyone who has seen our kitchen remarks how nice the cabinets look in our new kitchen layout. They also think our Cambria counter tops are granite even though they are actually quartz. Redoing a kitchen can be stressful but with Tim's help it was much easier, and the results are fantastic.

David gave me building supplies and good advice. David was professional, reliable, and performed great service. I would absolutely recommend their services to anyone.

They came to our house when they said they would. Guided us to what he thought would be good for us. After a few days he phoned with the quote. we accepted and they made the mantel. A man was sent out with some stain samples and we made our selection. Next they phoned and we made a time for the installation. The installer cleaned up when he finished. We were very happy with the results.

This was a rewarding experience and I am very glad I went to Mentor Lumber. All members of the staff were friendly and helpful and I was able to make an informed decision on the cabinets.

I went to Angie's List and sorted through the listings by ranking. I obtained 3 estimates of which Mentor Lumber was one. Tom Kirk came out exactly when promised, reviewed the area, listened to what I wanted and gave me estimates after I selected a few styles I was interested in. He was knowledgeable and personable and came well prepared with product literature and pictures of their work. He was patient with my questions and explained everything to my satisfaction. I had researched the subject well and found he did not 'talk down' which was such a pleasure!! Tom was very thorough and had extraordinary attention to detail (he remembered I had also inquired about fireplace mantle quotes!). What was also nice to hear was how complimentary he was about the gentleman who would do the work, John. Tom was also well informed about their supplier and knew the product well. He followed up promptly with e-mails and phone calls. His assistant, Linda, was also very helpful with follow-up and answering questions. I happened to be in the general area of their showroom and dropped by to sign the contract and place the deposit. To a person everyone was cordial, personable, and helpful even though my visit was unexpected. Tom arrived a little while later and gave me a tour of the showroom, called the supplier and scheduled the work. Why did I choose them out of the three: Perceived quality, service, knowledge of product, price and my "gut/chemistry with Tom". He just seemed like a really good guy! Tom and John arrived promptly on the morning promised and estimated that it would take 3-4 days to do the work given the angle cuts and piecing required. John is a true craftsman and you can see he takes a lot of pride in his work! He is meticulous and takes the time to get things right. He explained everything he was doing clearly and with joy. My dog (Shih Tzu) was also curious about the work and took to John like I have never seen him do to anyone else. That said a lot about John as well in my estimation! Tom dropped by on the 3rd day to check on progress. We found we needed one additional baluster due to an unanticipated angle and that was ordered, delivered, and installed promptly. John kept the work area clean and neat and was attentive to wood dust and wet feet when it rained (smile). He left the area neat at the end of every day and organized his tools in one place. He was just a pleasure to work with him. I am so pleased with the final look and the angles and fittings are just exquisite! I decided to do my own staining and polyurethaning although they do offer that work (and I can start saving for the mantle!) I already have my staining completed. The oak was so smooth, it didn't require a lot of prep sanding which I wasn't looking forward to. I would absolutely use Mentor Lumber again and intend to do so. I recommend them without hesitation.

They are not pushy and they have a nice show room for all of their products. They will come out and measure, and satisfaction is guaranteed. If there is something wrong with their work, they will come replace them for free.

I have a sturdy, well built shed!
