Carrie C. was our sales person and she did a great job from quote to install. Was very flexable with dates due to construction delays. She called to ask about type of sealer and we went to the shop and they showed us samples. The install was excellent, perfect fit for everything. Undermount sink is fantastic. There was a clamp mark the installers missed (kitchen fairly dark, electric install was not complete) and Carrie sent them out the next day to remove the mark.
The initial quote was higher than some other firms, and she reworked the quote and gave us a competative price. I am very happy we selected Great Lakes to do the work.
Would certainly use them again.

Leslie was great to work with -- very helpful and patient, but not condescending. She was very conscientious about making sure everything would turn out so that we would be happy with it. We picked out a slab that turned out to not work, then another granite that had marks on the slab that was delivered to them. The installers could have been better about communicating with us, but all in all, this was a fantastic experience for what for us was a very expensive investment.

Following up seven years later: The granite has been wonderful -- as good as we could possibly expect. I'm not quite as happy with the installation, though. the seams between the slabs of granite have settled and become somewhat uneven. One opened up a gap that I filled myself with granite epoxy.

Company was great to work with. We're doing most of the kitchen remodel ourselves, so we had many questions regarding choosing the countertops, and how to be sure we were building a wall for the bar in a way that would support the weight of the stone. Therese called an installer from the back who drew a picture for us of how to brace the wall and countertop. She also gave us suggestions regarding which granite to choose, since we were concerned that our original choice may seem dated or too busy once installed. After the install, we had questions about cuts that were made into the drywall which we had to then fix. It seems that it was necessary to make the cuts because the wall was bowed. Therese and installer came back out and looked at the wall, and discussed it with us. Although I wish we wouldn't have had to call the drywaller back out, I fully understand that it was necessary. The countertops are beautiful and I would recommend them.

Theresa Knazek was a joy to work with from start to finish, and I really put her through the ringer in the year it took me between selecting a fabricator and finally completing the project. She spent time tracking down a rare type of granite for me, that I ultimately decided not to go with, and was always very helpful answering questions and re-doing quotes every time I changed my mind. The work was finally completed this past January, and it is beautiful!
