Jim's Repair

First of all, Jim did not show up on Monday, 11/21 as scheduled, however Angi did charge my card that day for the job. Jim texted me to say he could make it on Wednesday & did show up on time. The first thing he told me was that he wanted paid personally, instead of through Angi, then he proceeded to take all the hardware off my front door. He didn't know how to fix it, so he left, said he'd have to look it up online. A couple days later, he texted me, asking for a check for $300 for parts. I told him I'd rather not send a check, couldn't I just buy it online myself, using a credit card. His answer to that was I could go to Walmart & send it through them someway, using cash. I told him I'd have some protection if I used a card, in case there were something wrong. Now I haven't heard from him for a week. In short, I was hoping for a much better experience with Angi, a professional locksmith who could actually do the job, & not just try to scam me, & Angi for that matter. IF you can send me a real professional to fix this, I would appreciate that a lot. If not, then, of course I'd like my payment to you for this refunded, as well as my membership fee.
