He was contracted to to do a room addition including roofing the entire house, remodel the kitchen and replace concrete patio and step. He was to obtain the building permits to do this. He did not even though he told us he did. Work was very slow. He had excuse after excuse. Kitchen cabinets were not properly installed. Floor tiles were not installed correctly. There was only mastic on three corners of the tile, not on the concrete board where it was supposed to be. The water lines that he did leaked, he supposedly fixed those and when he did the water lines were backwards. We had hot water coming out of the cold water. He removed a patio in the back for the new room addition. He did not haul away the debris from that or the old cabinets promptly. It took two months of pleading for him to finally do this. He replaced my patio out front. The people he had do this were not qualified, did not have the right equipment to perform the job. My patio was tore up for over a month and we lost the use of the front door until he poured the concrete. The new concrete patio however was uneven, the step is uneven and to top it off the concrete CRACKED 5 days after it was poured. The room addition was started. He dug a footer and placed a foundation. All of this was without a permit and no inspections. We FORCED him to replace the floor in the foundation since it had been exposed to the elements for 6+ weeks. It was warped, swollen and starting to peel off. He removed the bricks from the back of our house for the room addition. Instead of cutting them, they just chipped them out. The back of my house is still exposed to the elements. The drawings that he had made were a farce, not to scale and impossible to have been completed. They were just copied and pasted to look like real plans. Of course these were never to be submitted to the county inspectors so to him it didn't matter. On July 11th we found out he did not obtain the proper permits, that he IS NOT a licensed plumber or electrician. Work was stopped at that point by the county building department. From investigating this person further we have found out that this is how he has operated for the last 25+ years. He has changed the name of his company several times. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING this person tells you. Please check his name in the county court systems to see the multiple law suits. There are many other people that did not make a law suit due to the cost and not being able to recoup any loss due to him hiding assets in family members names. If you read this and have used him, please file a complaint with the BBB and the OHIO ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE. This man needs stopped.
