George Houghtaling Painting

I had the paint and all the trim was removed except for the 2 windows. I used a "coupon" he advertised. However he chareged me extra to cut in the ceilings. Odd.  Reasoning was it was more work to cut in the edges, option was to paint the ceiling the same color..not logical reasoning to me. He did not use drop cloths. Wiped along the way.  I was concerned how thick he was rolling it on. left lines. He was finished after 1 coat.  I said no, please make it 2. Odd. He was late to arrive both days by 30 minutes and more.  When he was done and gone...I saw one of the shades pull strings stuck into the paint on the wall. He did not remove the curtain hardware as I had forgotten to. I would have preferred he bring it to my attention I would have removed them.  He painted around them.  I dont like that.  He was a nice fellow and he did the work within 2 days of my request but I felt unsure of his experience. The room looks fine as it is a spare room, I dont spend much time there. It is "ok."

George is very careful and meticulous. He examined all wall surfaces, with a light, for imperfections. He was always prompt, courteous and eager to please. The disruption in the house was kept to a minimum. The entire job took 4 weeks. We are so very pleased with the outcome. We could not have asked for more.

George arrived on time and worked dilligently each day.

My sister recommended him to me and when I called he was upfront about when he would be available to do my job.  He was totally professional and just and excellent man.  I was willing to pay whatever he asked because I had a lot of confidence in him.  I would definitely recommend him.
