B-Dry Waterproofing Systems - Akron

The salesman quoted the drain tile job which included installing a tee-in for a toilet in the basement; since they're tearing up the concrete anyway. When their guys arrived with the salesman, he said he couldn't do the toilet tie-in because that requires another permit. He then told me that he would leave the parts with me. He left without leaving anything. The MAIN complaint is when they made the connection from the sump pump into the storm drain, they poked the 1 1/2" PVC pipe into a 3" PVC pipe. They wadded newspaper around the gap and packed it with cement. The cement eventually will break up, fall down, and clog up my down spouts. I called them and asked that they fix that. The main job was done in Jan., I said the repair can wait till spring. The vice president (of B-Dry Waterproofing Systems -Akron) responded saying it was done correctly and they won't be coming back. She said things like, we've been waterproofing for 50-some years and we know what we're doing. I talked to the head of the Medina Building Dept. who said it was not done correctly. He said "Cement does not bond to PCV". I told the B-Dry vice president that it would take an hour to fix. I told her that I can't believe she would risk a bad report for a one hour callback. When spring rolled into summer, I fixed it myself. This company has no customer support or integrity. I don't recommend using them.
